국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 예비교사들이 농어촌 도서벽지 환경문화를 대하는 인식을 살펴보고, 미술교육적 의미를 찾아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 2017년 5월 중 169명의 예비교사들이 탐색한 미술과 교수학습 방법과 수업 의도를 드러낸 내러티브를 질적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 예비교사들은 다문화 교육, 농어촌 도서벽지 환경문화와 학생들의 삶을 이해하는 것이 중요하다고 보았다. 이에 연구자는 두 가지 관점에서 미술교육적 의미를 찾아보았는데 첫째, 현재 우리는 미술을 통한 통문화적 소통이 다양할 때이다. 그리하여 학생들이 미술활동에서 외면했던 삶의 주제나 익숙하지 않은 환경 문화에 대화를 시도하도록 해야 한다. 소외된 지역에서도 통문화적 결과물이 생길 수 있는 것이다. 둘째, 미술교육과 우리 삶에서는 위치가 중요하다. 학생들은 삶의 터전과 그 위치의 중요함을 깨달을 때 환경문화에 대한 관심과 이해가 높아진다. 미술은 삶과 멀리에 있는 것이 아니다. 우리는 학생들이 자신의 환경문화를 가치 있게 바라보고 의미 있는 미적 체험을 할 수 있도록 권한을 부여해 주어야하는 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the pre-service teachers’ awareness toward the environmental culture of the rural and remote areas, and to find out the art educational meaning. To this end, this study has done a qualitative analysis in the revealed narratives of the pre-service teachers who explored the art teaching-learning methods. As a result, the pre-service teachers considered that it is important to understand multicultural education, students lives, and environmental culture of the rural and remote areas. Thus, the researcher looked for the art educational meaning from two perspectives. First, we should acknowledge the fact that we live in a more diverse transcultural communication era than ever before. Therefor, we should encourage students to try talking to ignored life subjects and unfamiliar environmental culture in art activities. It is possible to have a transcultural communication outcome in distant and secluded areas. Second, it is important to become aware of where we are in art education and in our life. When students realize the importance of their location and their place of life, their interest and understanding about environmental culture is enhanced. We should empower students to draw near to various environmental cultures aesthetically.
