대학의 ‘학생설계전공’으로서 교육컨설팅 전공 개발 사례연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 대학에서 학생설계전공으로 교육컨설팅 전공을 개발하는 과정과 그 결과물을 통해 학생설계전공 개발 및 운영 전략을 도출하고 그에 대한 시사점을 찾는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 Marsh와 Willis의 교육과정 개발 모형(2007)에 따라 개발진의 숙의, 문헌조사, 면담 및 설문조사, 전문가 자문 등을 통해 진행하였고, 이러한 과정을 통해 교육컨설팅 전공의 목표 및 인재상을 설정하고 교육체계도와 교과편성 및 이수 방안을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 도출한 학생설계전공 개발 및 운영 전략은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생설계전공 개발 시, 신규 교과목 개설 및 다양한 이수 형태가 인정되어야 한다. 둘째, 개발에서 운영과정에 이르는 전 과정에서 학생-교무관련 담당자-지도교수-해당 전문가-관련학과 교수가 연결된 체계적인 지도 및 상담시스템을 갖춰야 한다. 셋째, 이론과 실제가 결합한 학생설계전공이 개발·운영되어야 한다. 이를 종합해볼 때, 학생설계전공을 개발하고 운영하기 위해서는 본부차원에서 행·재정적 지원이 선행되어야 하고, 학생설계전공에 대한 학내 구성원의 인식 전환이 필요함을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study was designed to present strategies and implications for the development and operation of a student-designed major through education consulting major development process and its product as a student-designed major. The process of the education consulting major development was conducted in the curriculum development model of Marsh & Willis through literature review, interview and questionnaire survey, and expert consulting based on careful consideration of the development team. In the process, goals of the education consulting major and the right type of students which the major seeks to produce were identified, with an educational system chart and curriculum design and completion plan developed. Results from this study suggest the following strategies for the development and operation of a student-designed major; First, when developing a student-designed major, it is necessary to offer new courses and accept diverse method of course completion. Second, a systematic guidance and advice system that links student, personnel in charge of academic affairs, academic supervisor, outside expert in the field, and professor of relevant departments should be in operation throughout the entire process from development to operation. Third, a student-designed major should be developed and operated in a way that integrates theory and practice. Taken together, administrative and financial assistance at a university level is required to develop and operate a student-designed major. And it is imperative for members of the university to change their views on a student-designed major.
