예비유아교사가 인식한 교직윤리에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 Q-방법론을 적용하여 예비유아교사의 교직윤리에 대한 주관적인 인식과 각 유형별 특성을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 유아교육과 4학년인 37명의 예비유아교사들에게 33개 문항으로 구성된 Q-표본을 분류하게 하고, 교직윤리에 대한 유형별 인식의 특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 교직윤리에 대한 예비유아교사들의 인식은 4개의 서로 다른 유형으로 나타났다. 제1유형은 ‘유아중심 배려로서의 윤리’로 유아를 존중하며, 보호하고 배려하는 것이 가장 우선시 되어야 하는 중요한 교직윤리라고 인식했다. 제2유형은 ‘규범으로서의 윤리’로 교육윤리를 도덕적인 의사결정을 내리는 기준이며, 교사가 지켜야 할 도덕적 의무이며, 문제를 해결하는 과정에서 사용하는 신념체계로 인식했다. 제3유형은 “실천중심적 윤리”로 교사가 도덕적 판단보다 실제로 실천하는 것이 더 중요하며 유아에 대한 보살핌을 실천하는 것을 중요한 교직윤리로 인식하고 있었다. 제4유형은 “전문직으로서의 윤리”로 교사가 자신의 교수행위를 반성하고, 교육적 목적을 달성하기 위해 끊임없이 자기개발을 하며 전문적 지식을 갖추기 위해 노력하는 것이 중요한 교직윤리라고 보았다. 본 연구결과는 예비유아교사 양성과정이나 교육프로그램에서 교직윤리 개념들과 실천방안에 대한 교육 강화가 필요함을 의미한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the pre-service teachers’ subjective perception and characteristics of professional ethics in teaching by applying the Q-methodology. For this purpose, 37 pre-service early childhood teachers, 4th grade students of department of child education, were asked to classify the Q-sample composed of 33 questions and analyzed the characteristics of perception of professional ethics in teaching. As a result, the pre-service teachers perceptions of teaching ethics in teaching were divided into four different types. The first type is “ethics as infant-centered care” which recognizes that respecting, protecting and caring for infants is an important teaching ethic that should be given top priority. The second type is “ethics as a norm” which recognizes professional ethics as crieteria for moral decision-making, moral obligation teachers should obey, and belief system used in solving problems. The third type is practice-centered ethics , which recognizes that it is more important for teachers to practice than moral judgments and to practice caring for infants as important professional ethics. The fourth type is ethics as a profession , and it is important for teachers to reflect on their own teaching activities and endeavor to constantly develop themselves and acquire professional knowledge in order to achieve educational purposes. The results of this study show that there is a need to strengthen the education of basic professional ethics in teaching concepts and practices in pre-service teacher training and educational programs.
