국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들을 대상으로 사회비교경향이 진로결정수준에 미치는 영향에서 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족과 회피목표지향의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 대학생 300명을 대상으로 하여 사회비교경향 척도, 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족 척도, 회피목표지향 척도, 진로결정수준 척도를 실시하였다. 그리고 최종적으로 258명의 자료를 위계적 중다회귀분석을 통하여 매개효과를 알아보았다. 연구결과, 첫째, 사회비교경향, 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족, 회피목표지향, 진로결 정수준 간에는 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 둘째, 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족은 사회비교경향과 진로결정수준의 관계에서 완전매개 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 회피목표지향은 사회비교경향과 진로결정수준의 관계에서 부분매개 효과가 있었다. 이러한 결과는 대학기관 및 대학 내 학생상담센터 등의 상담 및 심리치료 접근 에서 진로결정에 어려움을 겪는 내담자를 상담할 때 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족과 회피목표지향이 관련됨을 알려주고 진로상담 및 치료적 접근에 있어서 불확실성에 대한 불안과 걱정을 조절하고 타인과 지나치게 비교하며 선택을 회피하기보다 진로 결정과정 자체에 의미를 두어야 한다는 것을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of uncertainty and avoidance and avoidance goal orientation in the relationship between comparison orientation and career decision level of university students. In order to achieve the purpose of this research, The subjects were 258 students selected two Universities located in Busan. Correlation analysis and step-wise multiple regression analysis were used for examining the research questions of this study. Findings are as follows: First, significant correlations were showed among social comparison orientation, intolerance of uncertainty, avoidance goal orientation and career decision level. Second, there was a complete mediating effect of intolerance of uncertainty in the relationship between social comparison orientation and career decision level. Third, there was partial mediating effect of avoidance goal orientation in the relationship between social comparison and career decision level. These analysis results confirmed that intolerance of uncertainty and avoidance goal orientation is indeed an important variable having influence over the relationship between social comparison and career decision level. Therefore, to help career decision actions of college students, it is an essential element that inform them of the relations between social comparison orientation and career decision level, modify the avoidance goal orientation and improve the acceptance of uncertainty.
