유아 교사가 인식하는 좋은 과학 활동에 대한 연구: IPA 기법을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 좋은 과학 활동에 대해 유아교사가 인식하고 있는 중요도 수준과 실행도 수준의 차이를 교육내용, 교수학습방법, 교육환경, 평가로 나누어 분석하 는데 있다. 이러한 분석을 통해 유아교육현장에서 좋은 과학 활동을 위해 우선적으로 지원할 항목과 장기적 개선이 요구되는 항목을 도출하는데 있다. 자료 수집은 2015년 8월 3일부터 8월 27일까지 총 4회에 걸쳐 유치원 교사들에게 설문지 총 171 부를 배부하여 최종 153부를 분석대상으로 하였다. 자료는 연구문제에 따라 평균, 표준편차, 대응표본 t-검정, IPA 기법으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 유아교사들이 인식하는 좋은 과학 활동의 중요도와 실행도는 네 가지 영역 모두에서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 교육내용에서는 ‘누리과정의 과학적 탐구하기’, 교수학습방법에 서는 ‘통합적 활동 실행’, 교육환경에서는 ‘잘 구비된 물리적 환경에서의 실행’, 평가 에는 ‘다양한 방법으로 교사자신 평가’의 항목에서 가장 크게 차이가 났다. 둘째, 좋은 과학 활동의 항목에서 우선 지원 되어야 할 항목은 교수학습방법 영역 1개, 교육 환경 영역 1개로 나타났으며 평가 영역에서는 5개 항목으로 나타났다. 장기적으로 개선이 요구되는 영역에는 교육내용 영역 3개, 교수학습방법 영역 3개, 교육환경 1 개, 교육평가 영역 2개 항목으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아교사에게 좋은 과학 활동을 위한 실행의 기초적 정보를 제공할 것이며 유아교사는 물론 유아에게도 바람 직한 과학 활동을 실현하기 위한 시사점을 제공할 것이라고 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study compares and analyzes the difference between importance and the practice of the good science activity recognized by the kindergarten teachers by dividing them into the education content, instructor learning-method, education environment, and evaluation. In addition, this study takes a detailed look into the areas that require prior support and long-term improvement of the good science activity in the field. Survey was done on the kindergarten teachers as the method of the research. Questionnaire was distributed to 171 kindergarten teachers and we analyzed 153 of them. The data was collected a total of 4 times from 2015, August 3rd to 27th and analyzed by the average of the level of importance and practice, standard deviation, t-test, and the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA).The first result of the study shows that the importance and the practice of the good science activity recognized by the infant teachers show differences in all four areas. ‘Scientific investigation of the Nuri Process’ in education content, ‘integrated activity practice’ in instructor learning-method, ‘practicing in physically well-prepared environment’in education environment, and ‘various self-evaluation for the instructor’ in evaluation area showed the biggest differences. Second, it turned out that the areas that require prior support for good science activity are as following; one area in the field of instructor learning-method, one areain the education environment, and five areas in the field of evaluation. The areas that require long-term improvement are as following: three areas in the education content, three areas in the instructor learning-method, and three areas in the education evaluation. It is expected that such result will provide the basic information for the infant teacher to practice good science activity, and provide an implication to practice the science activity that is appropriate for both the infant teacher and the infant.
