학교안전에 대한 초등학생의 인식 및 행동특성에 관한 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 학교안전에 대한 초등학생의 인식과 행동특성에 관한 탐구를 위해 2016.10월∼12월까지 안전교육 연구학교를 대상으로 학생들의 행동 특성 관찰과 학생·교사의 심층면담을 통한 질적 사례 연구를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 학생들에게 안전이란? “자기 자신뿐만 아니라 타인도 소중하게 여기고 서로 지키는 것”이라는 인식을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 학생들이 가장 선호하는 안전교육 방법으로는 흥미를 가질 수 있는 직접 체험 교육이었다. 셋째, 주요한 안전 행동으로는 학급 단체 이동, 신호등·횡단보도 연습의 습관화 된 행동이며, 위험 행동으로는 불안전한 환경에서의 행동, “재미” 와 “스릴”을 느끼는 놀이시설 행동, 무의식적인 행동, 친구 따라 하기, 교사가 없는 교실에서 무질서한 행동이었다. 넷째, 변화된 안전 행동에 대해 학생들 스스로 인지하고 있었으며, 가장 달라진 행동은 직접 훈련을 통한 안전행동의 습관화를 꼽았다. 이를 바탕으로 구체적인 체험 중심의 안전교육, 학교 내 불안전 환경 개선, 안전 체험 공간 조성, 모험놀이 욕구 해소를 위한 시설 제공 등을 제시 하였다.

영문 초록

This study is a qualitative case study of safety education research schools from October to December 2016, conducted through observation of students behavioral characteristics and in-depth interviews with students and teachers, in order to explore elementary school students perceptions and behavioral characteristics about school safety. The results of this study are as follows: First, it was found that students perceptions regarding safety, that it is to protect not only themselves but also others in school. Second, it was observed that students education by direct experiences, which shows that it is the most preferable way of safety education. Third, it was observed that the main safety behaviors were class group movement, habitual behavior of traffic lights and crosswalk exercises, while dangerous behaviors were moving in unsafe environments, play facilities behavior seeking fun and thrill , unconscious behaviors, imitating their peers, and disorderly behaviors in classrooms when teachers were absent. Fourth, the students were aware of the changed safety behaviors, and the most remarkable change of behavior was the habit of safety behaviors through direct training. Based on above, it is suggested that concrete experiential safety education, improvement of insecure environment in school, establishment of safety experience space, and provision of facilities for solving the need for adventure play.
