국문 초록

현대관광은 지역적 전쟁, 자연재해 전염병 유가상승 등과 같은 다양한 위기를 경험하고 있다. 관광위기는 관광사업 경영 관광객 유치, 투자자 유치와 같은 관광발전의 장애물로 작용할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 지역관광발전을 저해하는 요인들을 탐색하고 정치적, 경제적, 사회문화적, 환경적, 기술적 관점에서 이들 요소들을 다수의 동질적 세부집단으로 유형화 하는데 있다. 제3라운드에 걸쳐 전문가 델파이 조사를 수행하였으며, 조사결과에 대해 빈도분석 및 윌콕슨 부호순위검정을 통하여 적합성 검증을 실시했다. 검증결과 정치적, 경제적, 사회문화적, 환경적, 기술적 관광위기 유형으로 구분되었으며, 각 유형에 속하는 세부적 변수들을 예시하고 있다. 향후 국제관광지로서 제주지역이 관광정책, 관광개발, 관광경영과 관련하여 지역에 적합한 관광위기의 유형별 대응전략 수립을 위한 실증연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

Modem tourism is suffering diverse crises including regional war, natural disaster, terrorism, epidemic disease and oil price rising. Tourism crises could put obstacles in the way of tourism development such as operating tourism business, attracting foreign tourists and investors. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors which interfere the regional tourism development and to typology the factors into several homogeneous subgroups from the political, economic, socio-cultural, environmental and technological points. Delphi of three rounds were conducted and frequency analysis and Wilcoxon's signed rank test were employed to evaluate the statistical values. The results show that the five types of tourism crises are found in Jeju tourism industry. The individual variables in each crisis type were explained in detail. In future, several types of tourism crises should be considered in tourism policy, development and management in Jeju as a international tourism destination.
