김소월 시의 언어미학적 특성 연구

국문 초록

김소월의 시는 모국어로서의 한국어의 어감을 잘 구현하고 있다. 이 논문은 김소월이 어떤 환경에서 어떤 과정을 거쳐 한국적인 운율과 상징체계에 가장 가까운 언어에 이를 수 있었는가를 언어미학적 측면에서 살펴보고 있다. 김소월의 시를 언어미학적 측면에서 연구하기 위해서는 모국어라는 개념에 대해 먼저 질문해야 한다. 그것은 성장과정에서 자연스럽게 습득한 입말이 아니다. 소월의 시에서 언어는 모국어이긴 모국어이되 그저 주어진 것이 아니라 치열한 고민 끝에 그가 겨우 얻을 수 있었던 모국어였다. 김소월의 시를 언어미학적 측면에서 연구할 때 고려해야 할 또 다른 문제는 그가 시를 쓰던 시대적 상황이다. 김소월은 전통적인 시가문학의 영향 아래서 근대시 장르의 형식을 모색하던 시기에 시작 활동을 했다. 그가 고민했던 것은 전통적 장르의 계승이나 새로운 장르에 대한 실험보다는 오히려 자신의 정서와 감각을 표현할 수 있는 언어였다. 김소월이 가장 한국적인 감수성을 한국적인 운율과 상징체계로 형상화했다는 문학사의 평가가 틀린 것이 아니기 위해서는 그 과정에 대한 충분한 설명이 반드시 필요하다. 그의 시에 빈번하게 사용되는 방언과 고유명의 의미, 그리고 번역의 과정에서 드러나는 시어에 대한 고민 등을 구체적으로 확인함으로써 소월의 언어의식을 어느 정도 규명할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Kim So-Wol’s poetry bring out the subtle nuance of korean language as mother tongue. This article observes that how did Kim So-Wol reach to poetic language which is almost korean rhythm and symbol system in linguistic and aesthetic properties. First, we have to give a question what is mother tongue, to study on linguistic and aesthetic properties in Kim So-Wol’s poetry. He could not acquire mother tongue naturally as spoken language on process of his growth. Actually mother tongue is mother tongue in Kim So-Wol’s poetry. Nevertheless it is not a allowed to him naturally. But he barely got mother tongue with a fierce struggling. And we have a another consider to study on linguistic and aesthetic properties in Kim So-Wol’s poetry. That is periodical circumstances which he writes poetry. Kim So-Wol writes poetry under traditional lyrical literature to find a way to make modern poetry form. He worry about a language to present his emotion and sensation. He does not bothered about succession of traditional lyric genre and experimentation of a new genre. Literature history assessment is not to be false on Kim So-Wol’s poetry which he bring out the subtle nuance of korean language as mother tongue, we have to explain wealthily all the process. We could investigate Kim So-Wol’s language consciousness in some degree to find the meaning of a dialect and a proprietary name frequently used in his poetry, and his worry about a poetic language revealed in translation process.
