국문 초록

戊午史禍는 筆禍事件이다. 무오사화는 점畢齋 金宗直이 <弔義帝文>을 지었기 때문에 일어난 사건이 아니라, <조의제문>을 이용하여 자신의 정치적 입지를 굳히고 정적을 제거하려고 했던 인물들의 곡해가 만들어낸 불상사일 뿐이다. 따라서 무오사화의 비극은 그 책임이 곡해를 만들어낸 사람들에게 있고, 글을 지은 점필재나 글을 史草에 올린 濯纓에게 있지 않다. 그런데 무오사화의 빌미를 점필재가 제기했다는 시각이 현대의 연구자에게까지 유지되고 있다. 그것은 오해와 곡해의 확대와 재생산이 아직도 진행되고 있다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 오해와 곡해가 단절되고 더 이상 지속되지 않기 위해서는 그 근원과 내력을 점검하여 올바른 평가의 시각을 제시하는 작업이 필요하다. 그러기 위해서는 또 <조의제문>의 실체와 그 해석의 온당한 방향이 제시되어야 한다. 그것은 단순히 지나간 시대의 일을 왈가왈부하는 공소한 논의가 아니라, 오늘의 연구자들에게 팽배해 있는 무비판적인 자료해석에 전환점의 하나를 보인다는 의미를 지닌다고 믿는다.

영문 초록

The Mu-Oh calamity of scholars(戊午史禍) is the event of trouble brought on by a slip of the pen(筆禍事件). The Mu-Oh calamity of schalors(戊午史禍) is not the event that occurred because Jeom-Phil-Jae(점畢齋) Kim-Jong-Jik(金宗直) wrote 'the Funeral Oration for Eui-Je(弔義帝文)'. The Mu-Oh calamity of scholars(戊午史禍) is but the deplorable event that occurred by the partial villainous retainers who misinterpreted 'the Funeral Oration for Eui-Je(弔義帝文)' by force and intended to make hard their political location, intended to get rid of political rivals. For that reason, it's wrong that the present scholars appreciate 'the Funeral Oration for Eui-Je(弔義帝文)' as the work which served as the momentum of the Mu-Oh calamity of scholars(戊午史禍). Moreover the opinion that Jeom-Phil-Jae(점畢齋) Kim-Jong-Jik(金宗直)'s writing of 'the Funeral Oration for Eui-Je(弔義帝文)' intended to criticize King Se-Jo(世祖) is wrong. The thought that Jeom-Phil-Jae(점畢齋) Kim-Jong-Jik(金宗直) wanted to tell was nothing but the stem historical consciousness. Therefore the mention that Jeom-Phil-Jae(점畢齋) Kim-Jong-Jik(金宗直) had the character of two mind, the character of betrayal is so much wrong. This thesis intends to present the true subject of 'the Funeral Oration for Eui-Je(弔義帝文)' and the reasonable direction of interpretation. So it intends to show the present scholars the turning point of uncritical interpretation on the classical literary materials.
