학생설계전공제도 참여자 인식조사를 통한 활성화 방안 연구: A대학교 사례를 중심으로

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 A대학교의 학생설계전공에 참여한 경험이 있는 학습자, 교직원 및 교원을 대상으로 학생설계전공의 참여 경험에 대한 인식차이를 분석하고 종합하여 수렴함으로써 활성화 방안을 도출하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 선행연구를 분석하여 학생설계전공의 교육적 효과, 학생설계전공 이수 운영 상 경험하는 어려움, 학생설계전공의 효율적 운영을 위한 개선사항 및 융합형 인재양성에 있어 학생설계전공의 유용성을 주 내용으로 포함하는 반구조화된 설문지를 제작하였으며, 학생설계전공일 이수한 경험이 있는 학습자 2인, 현재 학생설계전공을 운영 중에 있는 교원 1인, 담당 교직원 1인을 대상으로 개별 심층면접을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 반복적 비교 분석법을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과: 연구결과 학생은 특정 분야의 지식을 집중적으로 습득하는 것과 학생설계전공을 이수하는 과정에서 자기주도성이 함양되는 것을, 교원은 학문적 흥미에 기반한 맞춤형 전공교육과정이 개설가능하다는점을, 교직원은 전공교육 재창조를 통한 학습자의 역량함양 및 전문성의 습득을 학생설계전공의 교육적 효과로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 학생설계전공을 이수하고 운영하는 과정에서 경험하는 어려움에 대한 인식조사 결과 학습자는 운영 교직원 및 교원에 비해 상대적으로 많은 어려움을 경험하는 것으로 나타났다. 학생설계전공의 효율적 운영을 위한 개선사항으로 학습자와 교원은 공통적으로 교육과정 제도의 개선과 홍보 방안 마련을 이야기하였다. 마지막으로 교내 구성원은 학생설계전공이 융합형 인재양성뿐 아니라 전문인재 양성에 더 도움이 된다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 학생설계전공의 활성화를 위해 학문의 질 저하 방지 노력의 필요, 시스템 교육과정 등에서 필요한 제도상의 보완 필요, 전담부서 및 기관 필요, 정보 접근성 및 홍보강화 등에 대한 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to draw methods for improvement and activation of student-design major by analyzing, synthesizing, and coverging the differences in perception of students, professor and staff who have experience engaging in the student-desgined major. Method: To attain the aim of this study we design semi-structured questionnaire based-on previous researches and conduct IDI(In Depth Interview) to 2 students, 1 professor and 1 staff in A university. The data was analyzed using constant comparison method. Results: The results of the study showed that students perceive that they can intensively acquire knowledge in a specific field and their self-direction is cultivated in the process of completing a student-designed major as a educational effect of student-designed major. For professor, to establish and provide a customized major curriculum based on students’ academic interests, for staff perceive that students competency development and acquisition of specialty. In completing and operation the student-designed major, students experience relatively more difficulties compared to the professor and staff. As a matter of improvement for the efficient operation of the student-designed major, learners and teachers commonly talked about improving the curriculum system and preparing promotion methods. Lastly, school members appeared to perceive that the student-designed major was more helpful in growing professionalism as well as convergence-oriented talent. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, in order to revitalize student-designed majors in the future, we suggest methods such as the need for efforts to prevent the decline in academic quality, the need for institutional supplementation in systems and curriculum, the need for dedicated departments and institutions, and strengthening information accessibility and promotion.
