국문 초록

본 연구는 심미성을 중심으로 미술교육이 지향하는 방향성에 대한 탐색이라는 관점에서 미술교육의 개념을 ‘미술’, ‘미술하기’, ‘경험’을 통해 살펴본다. 미술은 인간다운 삶을 탐색하며 사회 혁신을 가져온다는 점에서 개인과 사회에 공헌한다. 미술교육은 상상력과 사고력을 바탕으로 탐구하고 성찰하는 과정을 경험하도록 한다. 이는 실기나 활동, 지식을 중시하는 교육과는 구별되는, 비판과 성찰을 바탕으로 자아 성장을 위한 삶을 위한 미술교육, 철학하기로서의 예술교육이다. 미술교육이 아름다움의 기술이나 인간교육을 위한 수단적 역할이라는 인식, 학교교육이라는 틀을 넘어 인간으로서 살아가기 위한 매우 중요한 경험이라는 것을 깨닫고 깨어 있음으로 삶의 의미를 찾는 것이 가능해진다. 이런 방향에서 미술교육의 역할과 위상이 새롭게 정립되고 재개념화되어야 할 것이다. 작품의 의미를 드러내는 철학으로서 진선미의 통합으로서의 ‘미술’, 미술을 통한 체험과 철학하기로서의 ‘미술하기’, 그리고 이들의 심미적 과정으로서의 ‘경험’은 삶을 위한 새로운 예술교육으로 나아가게 하는 것이다. 그 과정에서 새로운 시대의 심미적 교육으로서 미술교육의 방향성 및 교육적 의미를 모색한다.

영문 초록

This study explores the concept and direction of art education from the perspective of exploring the direction that art education aims for, focusing on aesthetics. Art contributes to individuals and society in that it explores human life and brings social innovation. Art education allows you to experience the process of exploration and reflection based on imagination and thinking. This is art education for self-growth based on criticism and reflection, which is distinct from education that values practical skills, activities, and knowledge, and art education as philosophy. It becomes possible to find the meaning of life by realizing that art education is a very important experience for living as a human being beyond the framework of school education and the recognition that art education is a skill of beauty or a instrumental role for human education. In this direction, the role and status of art education should be newly established and reconceptualized. Art as an integration of truth, goodness, and beauty as a philosophy that reveals the meaning of ‘art’, ‘doing art' as an experience and philosophy through art, and ‘experience' as an aesthetic process move forward to new art education for life. In the process, the direction and educational meaning of art education as aesthetic education in a new era are sought.
