국문 초록

본 연구는 자서전 만들기를 활용한 집단미술치료가 요양병원 입원노인의 행복감과 삶의 질에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 S시 N구에 소재하는 요양병원에 입원 중인 65세 이상의 노인들 중에서 의사소통이 가능하고 손 움직임에 문제가 없는 노인분들 중 연구에 참여하기를 원하는 12명의 대상자를 선정하였다. 그중 사전검사에서 평균 이하의 점수를 받고 프로그램 참여가 가능한 6명은 실험집단으로 6명은 통제집단으로 배치하였다. 연구기간은 2019년 9월부터 2019년 11월까지 주 1회 60분씩 사전검사․사후검사를 제외하여 총 12회기를 진행하였다. 측정도구로는 행복감 검사, 삶의 질 검사를 사용하였고, SPSS 24.0 프로그램인 윌콕슨 부호 순위 검정(Wilcoxon signed ranks test)을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 자서전 만들기를 활용한 집단미술치료는 요양병원 입원노인의 행복감 향상에 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 자서전 만들기를 활용한 집단미술치료는 요양병원 입원노인의 삶의 질 향상에 효과가 있었다. 연구결과는 자서전 만들기를 활용한 집단미술치료가 요양병원 입원노인의 행복감과 삶의 질 향상에 효과적이었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate how group art therapy using the autobiography affects happiness and quality of life for the elderly in long-term care hospitals. The study was conducted on 12 participants living in long-term care hospitals in N district of S City. The selected participants were over 65 years old, and could communicate and participate in program activities. Six of the 12 participants who received below-average scores in the pre-test were placed in the experimental group, and the other six were placed in the control group. From September 2019 to November 2019, the company conducted experimental sessions once a week for 60 minutes, a total of 12 times, while the control group did not receive any treatment. The Happiness Test, and Quality of Life Test were used as research tools, and the Wilcoxon signed rank test in the SPSS 24.0 program was used to analyze quantitative changes. The results of this study were as follows. First, the group art therapy using autobiography was found to be effective in improving the happiness of elderly in long-term care hospitals. Second, the group art therapy using autobiography was found to be effective in improving the happiness of elderly in long-term care hospitals. Overall, the study showed that the group art therapy using autobiography positively affects the improvement of happiness and quality for life of elderly in long-term care hospitals. Based on these results, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
