폭력의 학습 – 아동학대 경험과 범죄행동 간의 관계 -

국문 초록

어린 시절 폭력을 목격하거나 당한 경험이 많을수록 성장 후 폭력 행동을 할 가능성이 높고, 아동기의 피학대 경험은 성장 후 청소년 비행이나 반사회 행동으로 발전하고 나아가 성인기의 범죄 행동, 데이트 폭력, 배우자 학대와 관련이 있다는 연구결과를 보인다. 또한 부모로 부터 학대적 양육을 받은 자녀는 학대적 양육 태도를 학습하여 성인이 된 후에 자신의 자녀를 학대하는 등 폭력이 세대 간에 계승되는 형태로 나타난다고 주장한다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 선행연구결과를 바탕으로 폭력의 학습과 전이 즉, 청소년의 피학대경험과 범죄행동 간의 관계를 탐색하기 위해 문헌연구와 심층면접을 실시하였다. 피학대 아동에 대한 연구는 대부분 피학대 경험이 청소년의 학교폭력 피해 및 가해에 미치는 영향을 연구한 경우가 대부분이며 시설에 입소 중인 청소년에 대한 정보와 접근 가능성이 매우 제한적이기 때문에 전문가 심층면접을 통해 피학대 경험과 공격성의 형성, 그리고 범죄로의 표출의 과정에 대해 보다 깊이 있는 정보를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 판단하여 연구를 진행하였다. 연구결과, 연구대상자들의 대부분은 아동기 시절부터 부모의 학대행위에 노출되었고, 학대의 유형은 신체⋅정서적 학대와 방임 등이 함께 일어나는 중복학대 형태가 가장 많았다. 그 결과 우울증과 충동장애, 불안감과 무기력감 등을 경험하였다. 이들은 비단 가정뿐만 아니라 학교생활과 교우관계에서도 집단 따돌림과 같은 어려움을 보인 경우가 많다. 가정과 학교에서의 부정적인 관계의 지속은 청소년의 내면에 분노와 공격성으로 자리 잡게 되고, 정상적인 스트레스 해소방안이나 사회적 지지기반이 미약한 청소년으로 하여금 가출, 비행집단과의 어울림, 폭력비행 등의 시작과 그 행위의 심화에 영향을 미치고 있다.

영문 초록

There are research results showing that the more experienced or witnessed violence in childhood, the more likely it was to act violent after growth, the abused experience in childhood developed into adolescents’ misconduct or antisocial behavior after growth, and that furthermore, it is related to adult criminal behavior, dating violence, and spouse abuse. In addition, it is argued that sons and daughters, who have been abused in child rearing by their parents, learn the attitude of abuse in child rearing, and that violence, such as the abuse of one s son and daughter after adulthood, appears to be passed down from generation to generation. Based on the results of these previous studies, this study conducted literature research and in‐depth interviews to explore the relationship between violence learning and transfer, that is, the abused experience of adolescents and criminal behavior. Most studies on abused children have studied the effects of abused experience on adolescents school victim and offender, and because information and accessibility to adolescents who entered a facility is very limited, through the indepth interviews with experts in this study, it is thought that in‐depth information on abused experiences, aggression, and the process of criminalization can be obtained. In the study results, most of the research subjects have been exposed to the abuse of their parents since their childhood, and the most common form of abuse is duplication abuse, which includes concurrent occurrence of physical and emotional abuse and neglect. As a result, they experienced depression, impulse disorder, anxiety and lethargy. They often have difficulties such as group bullying not only at home but also at school and even between school friend relationships. The continuation of negative relationships at home and at school has become anger and aggression within the inside of adolescents, which affects adolescents with normal stress relief and poor social support, which can trigger runaways, mingling with misconduct groups, and violent misconduct, etc. and deepen their behavior.
