미술치료사의 유화작업 경험에 대한 존재론적 탐구

국문 초록

본 탐구는 지속되는 유화 그림 작업 속의 상징과 은유를 통해 탐구자인 ‘나’의 치유적 과정을 탐구한 것이다. 탐구는 2018년 9월부터 유화 작업 과정과 자전적 저널을 병행하여 2020년 11월까지 17여 점의 그림과 심층 대화를 시도하면서 과정에서 느껴지는 감정과 연상을 메모하고 기록하였다. 유화 작업으로 구성된 경험 이야기는 네 가지이다. 첫 번째, ‘그림속에 나를 담고, 내 마음에 그림을 담다’에서 나는 스스로 느끼는 감정의 억압에서 벗어나고자 나 자신이 변화되어가는 모습들을 발견하게 되었다. 두 번째, ‘가족, 그 마음을 담다’는 무의식 속에 가족의 모습이 수면 위로 드러나고 유화 작업 과정을 통해 가족관계로 전환되어 상처와 상실에 대한 감정을 해소하여 담아 두었다. 세 번째, ‘내담자, 그 마음을 담다’로 상호주관적 공감 관계가 형성되었다. 네 번째, ‘그림을 통해 마음과 마음을 잇다’로 그림과 대화하며 나의 마음을 전달하는 경험을 통해 그림에 대한 치유성을 담아내는 이야기로 마무리되었다. 나는 ‘상처를 넘어서 삶을 이해하고 의미를 담아내고 ’색채로 세상과 새롭게 관계를 맺으며’ ‘유화 그림의 치유성이 글쓰기를 통해 재통합하는 과정’이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 미술치료사의 정체성을 확립하고, 자기 통찰과 탐색이 이루어졌다.

영문 초록

This exploration examined the healing process of the explorer “I” through symbols and metaphors in the continued oil painting work. The exploration attempted an in-depth conversation with about 17 paintings created from September 2018 to November 2020 in parallel with the oil painting process and autobiographical journals, which involved taking notes and recording the emotions and associations felt. Four stories of experience emerged from the oil paintings. First, in “Put me in a picture, put a picture in my heart,” the therapist changed to escape the oppression of the emotions I felt. Second, “Conceiving family” described that how the painting theme was changed into a family relationship that revealing revealed feelings of hurt and loss because the therapist remembered how their mother inflicted trauma. Third, “Conceived clients” depicted an intersubjective sympathetic relationship. Fourth, “Each one’s mind connected in the painting” described their the therapist immersing in oil painting while understanding their own life, meditating paintings, and healing of art when delivering the experience of the therapist’s thoughts. Through this process, the therapist demonstrated overcoming emotional pain, understanding their own life, and revealing the meaning of life. The therapist also wrote to the healing feature of an oil painting. Based on these research results, the identity of art therapists was established, and self-inspections and explorations were conducted.
