성별에 따른 유아의 행복과 교사-유아관계, 또래상호작용과의 관련성 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 성별에 따라 교사-유아관계, 또래상호작용이 행복에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 담임교사가 평정한 3-5세 유아 208명의 자료를 t-test, 상관관계, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 남아보다 여아가 유아교육기관 생활에 행복한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 행복은 긍정적 또래상호작용, 친밀(교사관계)과 정적상관, 부정적 또래상호작용, 갈등, 의존(교사관계)과 부적상관이 나타났고 성별에 따라 변수간의 유의확률과 상관정도가 다르게 나타났다. 셋째, 성별에 따라 동시적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 남아는 교사와의 친밀, 긍정적 또래상호작용, 부정적 또래상호작용이 행복을 80% 설명하고, 여아는 교사와의 친밀, 긍정적 또래상호작용, 부정적 또래상호작용, 교사와의 갈등이 행복을 77% 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 행복의 활동참여 특성은 교사와의 관계 중 의존이 영향을 미치며, 남아의 경우 교사와의 갈등이 행복의 적응특성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 성별에 따라 유아의 행복에 대한 교사관계와 또래상호작용의 하위요인이 행복의 세부적 특성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다는데 의의가 있다. 유아교육기관에서 맺는 사회적 관계(교사, 또래)와 행복간의 연관성을 통해 유아의 행복을 증진시키기 위한 교육과정을 개발하는 데에 기여할 수 있음을 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of teacher-child relationship and peer interaction upon happiness according to sex. For this study, t-test, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis were performed on 208 children based on behavioral characteristics of young children in the kindergarten observed by teachers in charge. The result of this study is summarized as follows. First, girls turned out to be happier at the kindergarten than boys. Second, the happiness of children was positively correlated to positive peer interaction and intimacy with teachers; however, negatively to negative peer interaction, conflict with teachers and dependence on teachers. The probability value and the strength of correlation differed depending on sex. Third, as a result of simultaneous regression analysis according to sex, in the case of boys, intimacy with teachers, positive and negative peer interaction accounted for 80% of happiness. On the other hand, 77% of girls’ happiness was explained by the relationship with teachers, positive and negative peer interaction and conflict with teachers. In particular, the happiness related to activity participation is affected by dependence on teachers, and the happiness related to the adaptation of boys is affected by conflict with teachers. This study is significant in that it examined how the subfactors of relationship with teachers and peer interaction of children affect the detailed quality of happiness. Therefore, it is anticipated that it will allow inspecting the correlation between a social relationship with teachers or peer and happiness at kindergarten so that it would help to develop the curriculum which enhances the happiness of children in educational institutions.
