유아기 효교육의 방향 탐색: 유아교사의 인식을 바탕으로

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 효 관련 선행연구의 고찰을 바탕으로 유아 효교육에 대한 유아교사의 개념을 탐색하여 유아기적 특성을 고려한 유아 효교육의 개념을 도출하고, 현재 유아 효교육 실태에 대한 비판적인 성찰을 통해 향후 유아기 효교육이 나아갈 방향을 제안하였다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 개방형 설문을 실시하여 유아교사 87명의 응답을 분석한 후, 그에 대한 좀 더 심층적인 탐색을 위해 3명의 유아교사를 연구목적에 따라 임의표집하여 추가 면담하였다. 연구결과: 그 결과는 첫째, 유아교사가 지닌 효 개념에는 예의, 공경과 사랑, 존중, 감사, 배려 등의 가치가 혼재되어서 나타났다. 둘째, 유아 효교육은 인사하기, 높임말 쓰기, 두 손으로 드리기 등 효에 관한 예절이나 행동양식의 습득에 초점을 두고 있었다. 셋째, 유아교사들은 유아를 대상으로 추상적인 효의 개념을 전달하고 그 이해를 돕는 과정에서 느끼는 어려움을 가장 많이 보고하였다. 결론: 선행연구를 바탕으로 본 연구결과를 고려하여 유아기 효교육의 개념을 존중, 사랑, 배려, 감사로 확장하고, 효교육을 기관 내 하루일과 속에 통합하여 일상적으로 실천해나갈 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study was to suggest the direction of ‘hyo’ education by critically reflecting on current ‘hyo’ education through the awareness of early childhood teachers. Method: For this purpose, the current study analyzed the responses of 87 early childhood teachers in an open survey, and for a more in-depth search, three early childhood teachers were assembled and interviewed for further study purposes. Results: The results of the analysis were as follows. First, teachers perceptions and values about ‘hyo’ appeared as a mixture of traditional values such as honor and courtesy, and modern values such as love, respect, appreciation, and consideration. Second, the contents and method of ‘hyo’ education were revealed to be diverse in method, but the contents focused on acquiring etiquette and behavior style of ‘hyo’ such as greeting, writing high word, giving with two hands. Third, the results of analyzing the teacher s difficulties and improvement plans about ‘hyo’ education were that most teachers reported difficulties they experienced during the process of conveying the concept and helping understanding ‘hyo’ for children. Conclusion: Since ‘hyo’ education for children who live in future society from the present age should be able to take positive value of ‘hyo’, we proposed children ‘hyo’ education as respect, consideration, love and appreciation considering the developmental characteristics of children.
