장애성인의 부모 관련 연구의 국내 동향 분석

국문 초록

연구목적: 장애 및 생애주기에 따른 요구로 인해 독특한 부모 역할을 수행함으로써 부모 연구의 중요한 대상이 되는 장애성인 부모 관련 연구의 연구 동향을 분석하고 연구에서 다루어진 부모 관련 변인을 분석함으로써 장애성인 부모 관련 연구 활성화에 기여하고자 한다. 연구방법: 검색엔진을 통한 키워드 검색 및 참고문헌 검토를 통해 장애성인 부모 관련 주제를 다룬 연구를 선정하였고 선정된 논문이 2편 이상 게재된 학술지에 대한 목차 검색으로 연구를 추가하여 총 64편을 최종 선정하였다. 선정된 논문은 발표연도, 학술지 연구분야, 연구방법, 연구주제 등의 개괄적 연구동향을 분석하였고 부모 관련 변인을 분석하기 위해 부모 특성, 장애 유형 및 연령 등의 장애자녀 특성, 연구에서의 부모역할을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 장애성인 부모를 대상으로 한 국내 학술 논문은 2010년 이후 발표 논문 수가 증가되었으며 교육학 분야 특히, 특수교육 분야 학술지에 게재된 연구가 가장 많았다. 연구방법에 있어서는 조사연구가 가장 많았고 연구주제의 경우 사회복지학과 사회과학 분야는 부모 관련 연구가 많은 반면 교육학 분야는 장애자녀 관련 연구가 많아 차이를 보였다. 세부 주제를 살펴보면 장애자녀 관련 연구와 부모 관련 연구 모두 지원요구 관련 연구가 대다수를 차지하였다. 부모 관련 변인 분석 결과를 살펴보면 부모 모두를 대상으로 한 연구가 많았고 자녀 특성의 경우 발달장애자녀에 대한 연구가 많았다. 장애자녀의 연령은 20대 대상 연구가 가장 많았다. 마지막으로 논문에서 다룬 부모 역할은 장애자녀의 옹호 및 대변인으로서의 역할을 다룬 연구가 가장 많았다. 논의 및 결론: 장애성인 부모 관련 연구는 각 연구분야별로 주제가 편중되는 경향이 있으나 최근 대두되는 부모에 대한 다양한 관점이 반영된 다양한 연구주제가 시도될 필요가 있으며 아버지를 대상으로 한 연구를 통해 부모 경험과 관련된 다양한 연구가 시도될 수 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to contribute to the research on parents of adults with disabilities by analyzing the research trends of parents of adults with disabilities, who are playing a unique parent role according to their child s disability and life cycle, and the parent-related variables in these studies. Method: We selected papers dealing with topics related to parents of adults with disabilities through keyword search and review of references, and then added some papers through searching contents of the journals containing two or more selected papers. Finally a total of 64 papers were confirmed as subjects of this analysis. Research trends were analyzed according to relevant variables such as year of publication, field of academic research, research methods, and research topics. In addition to that, the parents-related variables such as parent characteristics, their child’ s disability type and age, and the roles of parents in the studies were reviewed. Results: The number of domestic academic papers for parents of adults with disabilities has increased since 2010. Most of the papers were published in the field of education, especially in the journals of special education. Survey researches were the most common. In the social welfare and social science fields, there were many papers related to parents related topics, while there were many papers related to their children with disabilities in the education field. In terms of research topics, a large number of studies about the demands of supports were implemented in both topics related to parents and topics on their children with disabilities. The results of the analysis of the parent-related variables showed that there were many papers on both mothers and fathers. In the studies, most of their children with disabilities were in their twenties. The advocacy and spokesperson for children with disabilities were the most common roles of their parents. Discussion & Conclusion: The research on the parents of adults with disabilities tends to be biased by each research field, so it is necessary to try various research topics such as father-directed research.
