노인 요실금, 요실금 삶의 질, 우울에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 지역사회 여성노인의 요실금과 우울의 정도를 파악하고 요실금, 요실금 삶의 질, 우울의 상관관계를 파악하기 위한 횡단적 조사연구이다. 2017년 6월 1일에서 7월 15일까지 B광역시 2개 구의 지역사회 거주 여성노인 108명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지로 조사하였다. 요실금 상황점수 도구, 신체적, 정신적, 사회경제적 영역을 포함한 요실금으로 인한 삶의 질 측정도구, 한국어로 번역하여 표준화한 한국어판 단축형 노인 우울척도로 평가하였다. 연구 결과는 지역사회 여성노인 중 약 65%가 경증이상의 요실금이 있는 것으로 조사되었고, 약 60%가 경증이상의 우울증상을 앓고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 요실금은 BMI, 일상생활정도, 규칙적인 운동여부에 따른 차이가 있었고, 우울정도는 나이, 주거 형태, 경제 수준, 주관적 건강상태, 기저 질환, 약물 복용, 일상생활정도, 운동에 따른 차이를 보였다. 상관관계에서 요실금의 정도가 높을수록 삶의 질은 낮아지고 우울의 정도는 더 심각해지는 것으로 조사되었다. 따라서 여성노인의 요실금과 우울 정도를 사정하는 연구에서 본 연구의 결과가 기초자료가 될 수 있으며, 요실금 관련 중재프로그램 개발에 근거자료로 활용할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between urinary incontinence, quality of life, and depression in elderly Korean women. From June 1 to July 15, 2017, we surveyed 108 elderly women residing in the community in two districts of B city with structured questionnaires. Incontinence situation score tool, measures of quality of life due to incontinence, including physical, mental, and socioeconomic areas, the Korean version of the standardized Korean version of the depressed elderly depression scale was evaluated. Results showed that about 65% of elderly women in the community had mild urinary incontinence, and about 60% of them had mild depression. There were differences in incontinence according to BMI, daily life, regular exercise, The degree of depression showed differences according to age, residential type, economic level, subjective health condition, underlying disease, medication, daily life degree, and exercise. The higher the degree of incontinence, the lower the quality of life and the greater the degree of depression. Therefore, the results of this study can be used as a basis for the evaluation of urinary incontinence and depression in elderly women, and it can be used as a basis for the development of intervention program related to incontinence.
