국문 초록

이 연구는 노인의 디지털 에이징 경험을 규명하고자 실시되었다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 컴퓨터 학습공동체에서 활동하는 노인 4명을 연구대상으로 선정해 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과 디지털 에이징에 관한 경험은 호모 디지쿠스(Homo Digicus, 디지털 신인류), 호모 아카데미쿠스(Homo Academicus, 공부하는 인간), 호모 루덴스(Homo Ludens, 놀이하는 인간), 호모 커뮤니쿠스(Homo Communicus, 소통하는 인간)의 네 가지 특징으로 나타났다. 연구를 통하여 노인들은 컴퓨터 학습을 실시하고 학습성과를 다양한 형태로 일상생활에 적용하고 있음이 드러났다. 또한 노인들은 컴퓨터를 젊음을 되찾는 도구로 활용하고 있었다. 후속연구에서는 디지털 에이징의 다양한 사례를 탐색하고 효과와 양상 등에 대한 심층적인 연구가 필요하다. 제도적으로는 노인들에게 맞춤형 디지털 교육을 시킬 수 있는 디지털 에이징 전문인력 양성을 통해 디지털 에이징의 활성화와 확산을 기대한다. 본 연구가 일반화의 한계에도 불구하고 컴퓨터 학습을 통한 노인들의 디지털 에이징 사례와 경험을 드러낸 것은 노인 연구에 유의미한 시사점을 제공하리라 믿는다.

영문 초록

This research was conducted to elucidate the digital aging experience of the elderly. In order to achieve the purpose of the research, four elderly people with computer learning experience were selected for the study and in - depth interviews were conducted. According to the results of this research, the experience of digital aging has four characteristics of Homo Digicus, Homo Academicus, Homo Ludens, Homo Communicus. Through the research, it was revealed that the elderly perform computer learning and apply learning outcomes to daily life in various forms. Also, the elderly use computer as a tool to regain youthfulness. In subsequent research, it is necessary to explore various cases of digital aging and to study in depth the effects and aspects. Institutionally, expect the activation and diffusion of digital aging through fostering digital aging professionals who can provide customized digital education to the elderly. Despite the limitations of generalization, this study reveals the experiences of digital aging through computer learning, and it is believed that it will provide meaningful implications for the elderly research.
