The human factor issue as the causal factor in marine accident in Indonesia were still high with collision still become one of the highest type of marine accident that occurred in Indonesian waters. Alas, as the 3rdlargest in officer population in the world, Indonesian seafarers faced a challenge to meet the world’s demand in terms of the quality of the education of the seafarer itself with the performance onboard. This research will focus in how Master of a ship handle the stress when navigating through confined waters when entering ports by mimicking the result of real AIS data analysis that have been further analysewith potential risk of collision when ship’s encounter into each other in Makassar Port Indonesia that we divide in 6 segments of scenario. The monitoring of stress using HRV (Heart Rate Variability) monitor during simulation to get Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) index that consists of PNS (Parasympathetic Nervous System) and SNS (Sympathetic Nervous System). The result from the 24 participants shows significant stress during each segment while from statistical approach, there were no statistically significant differences in PNS or SNS indexes based on age or experience. This study found that neither age nor experience significantly impacted autonomic nervous system responses in the context of moderate stress scenarios. Autonomic responses, as measured by PNS and SNS indices, remained stable across all segments and were strongly correlated within the respective systems. These findings suggest that, under the given conditions, age and experience are not critical determinants of physiological stress responses.
