부자(父子)캠프에 참여한 장애 자녀의 아버지, 실무자, 자원봉사자의 경험 및 요구 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 장애 자녀와 아버지를 대상으로 하는 부자(父子)캠프를 운영한 후 참여 경험 및 요구 를 장애 자녀의 아버지, 실무자, 자원봉사자를 통해 탐색하여 질 높은 가족지원을 위한 함의를 제공하는 데 있다. 연구를 위하여 G시 부자캠프에 참여한 아버지 중 선정기준에 부합하고 면담 참여에 동의한 아버지 4인 및 부자캠프를 담당했던 실무자 2인, 부자캠프를 지원했던 자원봉사자 5인을 대상으로 각각 초점집단면담 (FGI)을 진행하였다. 면담 자료는 지속적 비교법을 사용하여 분석되었다. 분석 결과, ‘캠프 참여 계기’, ‘캠프 참여 경험’, ‘캠프 활성화를 위한 지원 요구’의 3가지 대주제와 이에 따른 11가지 하위주제가 도출되었다. 아버 지 참여자들은 부자캠프 참여를 통해 자녀와 더욱 질적인 시간을 보내게 되었으며 결과적으로 가족 구성원 모두 행복한 시간을 보낼 수 있었다고 하였다. 또한 부자캠프가 아버지 참여를 위한 ‘마중물’ 역할을 하여 향 후 아버지들이 장애 자녀를 위한 가족 지원 참여자로 적극적으로 활동할 수 있게 할 것이라고 기대하였다. 결론 및 제언에서는 아버지의 가족 참여를 위한 부자캠프 확대 및 활성화 방안에 대해 논의하였다. 본 연구는 장애인의 삶에 있어 매우 중요한 가족 구성원인 아버지 당사자를 대상으로 한 가족캠프에 참여했던 아버지, 실무자, 자원봉사자의 참여 경험을 다각적으로 탐구하였고, 향후 부자캠프가 나아가야 할 방향과 역할을 고찰 해 보았다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences and support needs of fathers who have a child with disabilities. To conduct the research, focused group interviews(FGI) were conducted with fathers, staff, and volunteers who participated in the camp. The interview content was analyzed using the constant comparative method. The qualitative analysis results revealed three main themes, ·the opportunity to participate in the camp’, ‘the experiences of participating in the camp’, ‘the demand for support to revitalize the camp’ along with eleven subthemes related to these main themes. Father participants said that they were able to spend more quality time with their children through participation in the camp, and as a result, all families were able to have a happy time. In addition, it was expected that the camp would serve as a pick-up water so that fathers could actively work as family support participants for children with disabilities in the future. In the conclusions and suggestions, ways to increase father participation and support it were discussed. This study is meaningful in that it explored the father·s experiences in depth for the father, who is a very important party in the life of the disabled, and examines the role of the camp through various personnel related to the camp.
