현행 대학 교육에서 ChatGPT 활용 실태

국문 초록

이 글에서는 현행 대학의 ChatGPT 활용 규정을 통해 대학교육에서 ChatGPT의 수용 실제를 살펴보았다. 2023년 11월 기준, 한국 대학의 ChatGPT의 활용 규정은 세 가지 범주로 나타난다. 대학의 교육목표에 부합하는 활용, 교수자의 교수(敎授) 안내, 학습자의 학습(學習) 안내 세 가지 차원으로 구분할 수 있다. 대학 교육에서 ChatGPT의 활용은 다음과 같이 세 가지 사항이 검토되고, 활용안을 도출해야 한다. 무엇보다도 대학 교육의 목표를 실현하는데 기여할 수 있는가의 여부를 점검하고, 개별 대학의 교육 목표와 인재상 구현에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 모색해야 한다. 다음으로 교수자들은 개별 교과목의 교육 목적에 기여할 수 있는 방안을 검토하고 교과 목적과 연구 윤리를 고려한 활용안을 강의계획서에 고지해야 한다. 학습자는 정직한 활용과 학습을 통해 자기 결과물에 대한 책무를 지녀야 한다. 정보화 사회, ChatGPT와 같은 AI 도구의 수용과 활용에서 ‘디지털 리터러시’ 능력은 프롬프터의 역량은 물론 점차 대학 교육을 위한 기초능력이 되고 있다. 대학은 새롭게 등장하는 AI도구의 습득과 활용에 유연해질 수 있도록 교육과정에서 디지털 기술을 이해하고 활용할 수 있는 다양한 교과와 활동을 학습자들에게 제공할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This article examines the actual integration of ChatGPT in current university regulations, focusing on higher education. As of November 2023, the utilization regulations of ChatGPT in Korean universities are categorized into three main areas: alignment with educational objectives, guidance for professors, and guidance for learners. In university education, the utilization of ChatGPT should be reviewed and derived based on three main considerations. Firstly, its potential contribution to achieving the educational objectives of the university needs to be assessed, seeking ways to contribute to the specific educational goals and the realization of the ideal graduate profile. Secondly, instructors should review avenues through which ChatGPT can contribute to the educational objectives of individual courses, disclosing utilization plans considering the course objectives and research ethics in the course syllabus. Lastly, learners must uphold the duty to produce honest work and engage in learning processes conscientiously. In the context of the digital society, the acceptance and utilization of AI tools such as ChatGPT underscore the importance of 'digital literacy' not only as a prompter's competence but increasingly as a foundational skill for university education. Universities need to offer learners various courses and activities that enable them to understand and utilize digital technologies in order to be flexible in acquiring and utilizing emerging AI tools.
