화법 교육과 모델화자 설정 연구

국문 초록

이 논의는 교육대학 교양 화법 교육의 이론과 실제를 통한 수업모형 개선에 목적을 두고 설계되었다. 이는 교육대학 학생이라는 이중적 위치를 가진 학습자에 맞는 화법 교육의 필요성과 더불어 화법 교육이 이론에 머물지 않고 수업 현장에서 실효성을 갖는 방법을 모색하고 예비교사의 화법을 가르치는 교수자에게 요구되는 능력과 자질에 대한 고민을 반영한다. 이를 위하여 최근 6년간 수업에서 제출되었던 ‘대중적 말하기를 하는 모델화자를 선정하고 그 화법을 분석’하는 과제를 구체적으로 분류 분석한 뒤 그 의미와 개선점을 통해 교육대학에서 화법 교육의 방향성을 새롭게 설정하는 데 초점을 맞추고자 한다. 6년간 학습자들이 선택한 모델화자는 크게 방송/연예인(39.5%), 강사/교수(16.5%), 전문가(13.7%), 정치인(11.2%), 유튜버(7.7%), 외국인(6.2%), 기타(4.9%) 등으로 구분된다. 이러한 결과를 통해 알 수 있는 것은 첫째, 대중적 말하기를 하는 화자라는 과제의 전제가 모델화자 선정에 영향을 미쳤다 것과 둘째, 학습자들이 모델화자를 선택할 때 사회, 시대 담화공동체의 공통 이슈에 영향을 받는다는 것이다. 무엇보다도 학습자들이 모델화자를 선택한 이유나 분석의 초점에서 예비교사로서 염두에 두어야 할 부분이 공통적으로 반영되었다는 점에 주목할 필요가 있다. 교수자는 이러한 결과를 통해 학습자들이 선호하는 화법에 대하여 직접적으로 알 수 있고, 학습자들의 모델화자를 공유해서 사유의 폭을 넓힐 수 있도록 유도할 수 있으며, 학습자들이 모델화자를 분석하는 가운데 좋은 청자의 역할에 대해서 생각할 수 있는 기회를 마련할 수 있다. 교육대학 학생의 읽기와 경험, 지식과 사유는 다음 세대의 첫 교육에 큰 영향을 미치게 된다. 이 과제에서 학습자 스스로 타인의 화법을 분석적으로 살펴보는 과정을 통해 자신의 화법을 돌아보고 강점과 약점을 분리해 자신만의 방법론을 찾아내는 것이 첫 번째 효과라면, 자신이 선호하는 화법에 대한 분석적 사유를 하는 것과 동시에 자신의 심리적이거나 물리적인 상태에 대해서 알아볼 수 있는 것은 부차적인 효과라 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This discussion was designed with the aim of improving the teaching model through the theory and practice of liberal arts speech education in the university of education. This reflects the need for speech education suitable for learners with dual positions as students of the university of education, as well as the ability and qualifications required of instructors who teach preservice teachers' speech skills and how to find a way for speech education to be effective in the classroom rather than staying in theory. To this end, we will focus on specifically classifying and analyzing the tasks of 'selecting a modeler who speaks popularly and analyzing the speech method' that have been submitted in class for the past six years, and then setting a new direction for speech education in the university of education through its meaning and improvement points. For the past six years, the modelers chosen by learners are largely divided into broadcasters/celebrities (39.5%), instructors /professors (16.5%), experts (13.7%), politicians (11.2%), Youtubers (7.7%), foreigners (6.2%), and others (4.9%). These results show that first, the premise of the task of being a speaker who speaks popularly influenced the modeler selection, and second, when learners choose a modeler, they are influenced by common issues in the discourse community of society and the times. Above all, it is worth noting that the reasons why learners chose the modeler and the focus of the analysis commonly reflected the aspects that should be considered as pre-service teachers. Through these results, instructors can directly learn about the speech methods that learners prefer, share learners' modelers to broaden their thinking, and provide opportunities for learners to think about the role of good listeners in analyzing modelers. The first education of the next generation is greatly influenced by the reading, experience, knowledge, and thinking of college students. In this task, if the first effect is to examine one's own speech style through an analytical examination of another's speech style, and to find out one's own methodology by separating strengths and weaknesses, it is a secondary effect to be able to understand one's psychological or physical state at the same time as to give an analytical thought to one's preferred speech style.
