초등학생의 정서지능과 공감능력이 장애학생에 대한 수용태도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등학생 성별과 학년에 따른 정서지능, 공감능력 및 장애학생에 대한 수용태도의 차이를 밝히고, 초등학생의 정서지능과 공감능력이 장애학생에 대한 수용태도에 미치는 영향을 밝히는 것이었다. 연구대상은 중국 행정지역 중 4개 직할시와 17개 지역 초등학교에서 편의군집표집한 비장애 초등학생 549명으로 전자 설문조사를 실시하여 자료를 수집하고, 두 독립표본 t 검증, F 검증, Pearson 상관분석 및단계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별에 따른 정서지능, 공감능력 및 장애학생에 대한 수용태도의 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 학년에 따른 정서지능의 차이가 없었으며, 4학년 학생의 정서적 공감이 5학년 학생보다 높았다. 또한, 4학년과 6학년 학생의 장애학생에 대한 수용태도가 5학년 학생보다 높았다. 셋째, 초등학생의 정서지능, 공감능력 및 장애학생에 대한 수용태도 간 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 넷째, 초등학생의 정서지능과 공감능력이 장애학생에 대한 수용태도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 초등학생의 장애학생에 대한 수용태도를 향상시키기 위한 중재프로그램에 정서지능과 공감능력의 구성요소를 포함시킬 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of emotional intelligence and empathy ability of Chinese non-disabled elementary school students on their disability acceptance attitudes. The participants of the study were 549 non-disabled elementary school students from four direct-controlled municipalities and 17 regions of the People’s Republic China. The data on emotional intelligence, empathy ability, and disability acceptance attitudes of Chinese non-disabled elementary school students were collected through an electronic questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis were used for analyzing data. The results of the study were as follows. First, there was a positive correlation among emotional intelligence, empathy ability, and disability acceptance attitudes of Chinese non-disabled elementary school students. Second, the emotional intelligence and empathy ability of Chinese non-disabled elementary school students had effects on their disability acceptance attitudes. For successful inclusion of students with disabilities in an elementary school settings, the components for improving emotional intelligence and empathy ability are needed in an intervention program for enhancing the disability acceptance attitudes of non-disabled elementary school students. Educational implications and suggestions for future studies were also discussed.
