청소년의 외현화 문제행동에 대한 부모자녀 대화시간, 스마트폰 의존도, 부모의 양육태도 간의 구조적 관계 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 중학생의 외현화 문제행동이 가정 내 부모와 자녀의 대화시간과 그들을 둘러싸고 있는 환경인 부모의 양육태도와 스마트폰 의존도의 관계를 확인하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 한국아동·청소년 패널조사(KCYPS) 2018의 3차년도 자료를 활용하여, 최종 2,024명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 상관분석, 신뢰도 분석하였고, AMOS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 2단계 확인적 요인분석, 가설모형의 적합도 및 가설을 검증하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 청소년의 외현화 문제행동에 부모의 부정적 양육태도와 청소년의 스마트폰 의존도가 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 예측요인으로 나타났다. 또한 부모자녀 대화시간은 부모의 긍정적 양육태도와 부정적 양육태도 모두 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모자녀 대화시간과 외현화 문제행동의 영향 관계에서 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 완전 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 청소년 시기의 자녀와 부모 간 대화의 양과 질이 청소년의 스마트폰 의존도 및 외현화 문제행동에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 만큼, 본 연구의 결과는 청소년기 가정 내 양육환경의 변화를 위한 부모교육과 청소년의 외현화 문제행동과 스마트폰 의존도 감소를 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the structural relationships between adolescents' perceived parent-child communication time and parenting attitudes, smartphone dependence, and externalizing problem behaviors. This study utilized data from the third year of the Korea Child and Youth Panel Survey 2018 (KCYPS 2018), and a total of 2,024 participants were selected and analyzed. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 for frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and reliability analysis, and AMOS 21.0 for two-stage confirmatory factor analysis, hypothesis model fit, and hypothesis testing. The results of the study showed that, first, parental negative parenting attitudes and adolescents' smartphone dependence were direct predictors of adolescents' externalizing problem behaviors; second, parent-child talk time had a direct effect on both positive and negative parenting attitudes; and third, parental negative parenting attitudes had a full mediating effect on the relationship between parent-child talk time and externalizing problem behaviors. In particular, as the quantity and quality of conversations between children and parents during adolescence can influence adolescents' smartphone dependence and externalizing problem behaviors, the results of this study are expected to be used as a basis for parental education to change the family environment during adolescence and to reduce adolescents' externalizing problem behaviors and smartphone dependence.
