국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 20-30대 직장여성의 성역할 정체감의 유형과 성역할 갈등이 우울에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울특별시에 소재한 직장여성 224명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 주요 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성역할 정체감과 우울에 관계에서 성역할 정체감의 유형에 따른 유의미한 차이를 확인하였다. 특히, 성역할 정체감의 양성성 유형에서 우울과 부적상관을 보이고, 미분화 유형에서 우울과 정적상관을 보였으며, 차이검증에서도 성역할 정체감 유형별로 우울정도에 유의미한 차이가 있음이 나타났다. 구체적으로, 양성성 유형이 우울이 가장 낮았으며, 미분화 유형이 우울이 가장 높았다. 둘째, 성역할 갈등과 우울의 영향을 살펴보기 위한 회귀분석 결과에서 유의미한 영향을 확인하였고, 하위요인에서 지나친 의존성과 지나친 수동성이 우울에 높은 영향력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과로 젊은 20-30대 직장여성의 성역할 사회화, 그리고 정체감에 따른 인식이 심리내적인 문제와 관련이 있으며, 이를 이해하고 성역할과 관련된 불평등을 줄이기 위한 개입이 다방면에서 필요함이 시사되었다. 끝으로 이 연구의 의의와 제한점, 추후연구에 대한 제언 등을 논의되었다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the types of gender role identity and the impact of gender role conflict on depression among working women in their 20s and 30s. For this purpose, a survey was conducted with 224 working women located in Seoul, South Korea. The major findings of the study are as follows: Firstly, a significant relationship was observed between gender role identity and depression, based on the different types of gender role identity. Specifically, individuals with an androgynous type of gender role identity exhibited a lower likelihood of experiencing depression, while those with an undifferentiated type of gender role identity showed a higher likelihood. These differences were statistically significant. Secondly, through regression analysis, it was found that gender role conflict had a significant impact on depression. The sub-factors of excessive dependency and excessive passivity were identified as having a particularly strong influence on depression. These research findings suggest that the socialization of gender roles and identity among young female workers in their 20s and 30s is related to psychological issues. Understanding these issues and intervening to reduce gender-related inequalities is crucial. Finally, the significance and limitations of the study, along with suggestions for future research, are discussed.
