도덕과 교육에서 사회정서역량 기반 교육의 가치와 실천방안 탐구

국문 초록

연구목적 본 연구는 사회정서역량 교육이 도덕과 교육과정 안에서 활용되어야 하는 필요성을 밝히고, 그 구체적인 교육 방안을 고찰해보는 것에 목적이 있다. 연구방법 먼저 사회정서역량과 도덕 교육과의 관계를 밝히고, 도덕과 교육과정 총론에서 등장하는 사회정서역량의 역할을 알아보았다. 그리고 도덕과와 연계한 사회정서역량 교육의 필요성을 사회정서학습의 특성을 바탕으로 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 도덕과 교육과정 안에 사회정서역량의 내용을 접목하는 방안과 실제 수업 시간에 적용 가능한 구체적 교육방법을 알아보았다. 연구결과 도덕과 교육과 사회정서역량 교육은 지식과 실천의 연계성을 중요시한다는 점, 실천할 수 있는 역량의 함양을 교육 목표로 설정한다는 공통점에서 양쪽 교육에 대한 연계의 필요성을 찾을 수 있었다. 사회정서역량 교육은 도덕과 교육과정과 연계하여 이루어질 때, 교육의 지속성을 확보할 수 있으며, 도덕 교과 또한 정서적 측면의 교과 내용을 사회정서학습의 방법을 통해 전문적으로 교육할 수 있는 장점이 발생한다. 결론 사회정서역량 교육이 도덕과 교육 안에서 이루어져야 하는 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 도덕과 교육내용에 적합한 사회정서역량의 하위기술과 도덕 수업 때에 적용 가능한 교육 방안이 양쪽의 교육 모두를 긍정적 방향으로 이끌어 줄 것을 기대한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to reveal the need for social and emotional competency education to be utilized within the moral curriculum and to consider a specific educational method. Methods: First, the relationship between social-emotional competency and moral education was revealed, and the role of social-emotional competency that appears in the general theory of morality and curriculum was investigated. Moreover the need for social-emotional competency education in connection with moral education was examined based on the characteristics of social-emotional learning. Lastly, the researchers examined ways to incorporate the content of social-emotional competency into the moral education curriculum and specific teaching methods that can be applied in actual classes. Results: The need to connect both moral education and social-emotional competency education was revealed as was the value of establishing the connection between knowledge and practice and setting an educational goal for cultivating practical capabilities. When social-emotional competency education is conducted in conjunction with the moral curriculum, the continuity of education can be secured, and moral subjects will have the further advantage of professionally delivering emotional content through social-emotional learning methods. Conclusion: In addition, it is expected that the sub-skills of social-emotional competency applicable to moral classes and appropriate for moral educational content and educational methods will lead educational practitioners in a positive direction.
