영문 초록

The aims of this paper is to clarify the syntactical and semmantical characteristics of Korean causative expressions ‘-neun barame(-는 바람에), -neun tonge(-는 통에), -neun gime(-는 김에), -neun tase(-는 탓에)’. These expressions are not Korean connective endings, but have connective function.And they have been teaching on connective expressions in the Korean grammar education. But these are difficult on teaching and learning by the syntactical and semantical characteristics. Accordingly, we should found out the syntactical and sematical characteristics. The characteristics are result of the process of grammaticalization from dependent noun to connectives. The words ‘baram(바람), tong(통), gim(김), tat(탓)’ show the process of grammatical change from independent nouns to dependent nouns. Furthermore they function as connective (endings).
