국문 초록

本論文では韓国の高校における日本語学習者が日本と日本人、日本語をどのように認識しているかを具体的に調べ、学習者の日本語学習動機づけおよび対日認識に影響を及ぼす要因と日韓関係に対する認識を考察した。その結果、次のことが分かった。韓国の高校日本語学習者の場合、1)日本に対して、肯定的な認識だけでなく、否定的な認識を同時に持っている。2)日本人に対する肯定的な認識と否定的認識が混在しており、日本人に対する関心と日本人との交流に興味がある学習者が多い。3)日本語および日本文化に対する選好度は高い方で、日本旅行や日本語でのコミュニケーションには関心があるが、日本留学や就職、日本語を使う仕事には関心が多くない。また、自発的に日本語を学習するより、卒業に必要なために日本語を学んでおり、日本語の権威や国際性、実用性などは低く評価している。4)主な日本語学習動機づけは日本旅行や日本文化に対する関心であり、第2外国語科目として日本語を学んではいるが、これが大学での専攻にまでつながることは容易ではない。5)対日認識の形成においては、日韓関係や漫画、アニメーションの影響を最も多く受けており、自然災害も影響を及ぼしている。6)現在および今後の日韓関係に対して否定的な認識が強い。

영문 초록

In this article, I present a concrete survey of the high school learners of Japanese in Korea and their recognition of Japan, Japanese people, and the Japanese language, and also analyse the factors affecting their motivations for learning Japanese and their recognition of Japan as well as their recognition of the Korea-Japan relationship. As far as the Korean high school students surveyed are concerned, the following points are revealed. First, they have both positive and negative recognitions of Japan. Second, while they have positive and negative recognitions of Japanese people, they are interested to communicate with Japanese people. Third, they are fond of the Japanese language and culture and interested in trips to Japan and communication in Japanese, but they are not much interested in studying and working in Japan and jobs requiring the Japanese language. Also, they study Japanese to meet the requirements for graduation, and they do not highly value the authority, international prominence, and practicality of the language. Fourth, their primary motive for learning Japanese lies in their interest in trips to Japan and the Japanese culture. They study the language as a second foreign language, but not many students keep their study as a major at a university level. Fifth, the formation of their recognition of Japan is largely based on the Korea-Japan relationship, manga, and animations, and natural disasters is also a pertinent factor. Finally, they negatively think of the current and future Korea-Japan relationship.
