구술채록 기반 예술인 관계망의 활용 방안 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 아르코예술기록원에서 추진한 구술채록 기반 예술인 관계망 기초데이터를 바탕으로, 현재 설계된 예술인 관계망의 특성과 활용 방안을 살피고 예상되는 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 개선 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 예술인 관계망은 구술자 중심성을 지니기 때문에 인물-인물 관계가 비대칭적으로 구현되는데, 이 비대칭성에 주목하였을 때 다양한 연구 주제와 새로운 시각을 발견할 수 있다. 이때 이용자의 오독을 피하고 비대칭성의 의미를 인지시키기 위해서는 구술 일화 원문을 제공하여 이용자가 구술자의 실제 발화를 읽을 수 있게 할 필요가 있다. 또한 예술인 관계망에 네트워크 분석 및 시각화를 더함으로써 예술인들이 놓인 집합적 관계에 대한 거시적 시각을 제공할 수 있다. 구술자별, 성별, 장르별 등 특정 조건에 따라 네트워크의 선택적 보기가 가능하고 여기에 중심성 분석이 더해진다면 이용자가 예술계의 지형도를 보다 다차원적으로 파악하고 해석할 수 있을 것이다. 마지막으로 구술채록문에 담긴 구체적인 정보를 활용하기 위해서는 인물 관계망에 한정되지 않는 키워드 관계망이 필요하다. 토픽 모델링 기법과 네트워크 분석 기법을 활용한 검색 기능과 키워드 관계망 구현을 통해 구술채록 자료를 보다 풍부하게 활용할 수 있을 것이다. 이 연구를 통해 예술인 관계망 아카이브를 실제화하는 데 도움이 되고자 하며, 구술 채록을 중심으로 하는 또 다른 아카이브 구축에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the characteristics and the application of the artist network based on oral records promoted by the ARKO Arts Archive, and propose improvement measures to solve expected problems. Since the artist networks has an oral centrality, the person-person relationship is implemented asymmetrically, and when paying attention to this asymmetry, various research topics and new perspectives can be found. Therefore, in order for users to understand the meaning of asymmetry without misunderstanding, it is necessary to provide the original text of the oral record so that the user can read the original text. In addition, by adding network analysis and visualization to the artist network, it is possible to provide a macroscopic view of the collective relationship in which artists are placed. If it is possible to selectively view the network according to specific conditions such as person, gender, and genre, and if centrality analysis is possible, users will be able to grasp and interpret the topographic map of the art world in a more multidimensional manner. Finally, in order to utilize the specific information contained in the oral record, a keyword network that is not limited to the character network is needed. Through the implementation of search functions and keyword networks using topic modeling techniques and network analysis techniques, oral records can be used more abundantly. With this study, I hope to help improve the archive and contribute to the construction of another archive centered on oral records.
