Особенности русской ментальности через ключевые слова русской культуры: На материале идея-идеал глазами представителя корейской культуры

영문 초록

Mentality can be defined as “a view of the world in the categories and forms of mother language, which connects intellectual, willing and spiritual specifics of national character in its typical characteristics” (Kolesov 2007: 11). According to this definition of Russian linguist V. V. Kolesov it will be very important and meaningful to investigate the deep and organic relations between mother language and national mentality, because these two aspects cannot be separated in the history of Russian culture and in the formation of Russian literary language. In this paper we have pursued, how has been established the Russian philological tradition about “mentality through the key words and concepts (ментальность через ключевые слова и концепты)” by summarizing the works of such scholars as Shmelev, Stepanov, Kolesov, Arut’unova etc. On the other hand, we have compared the results of studying Russian philosophers (Solov’ev, Toporov, Dostoevskij, Karsavin, Berd’aev) with those of a representative Petersburg’s linguist Kolesov. By doing such a comparative analysis we were able to get more objective viewpoint about what is the Russianness and what are the key factors in defining the Russian mentality through two key words идея-идеал. To achieve the goal of this paper we have analyzed representative key words and concepts of Russian culture идея-идеал from the lexicological, semantic, textological and etymological points of view. To get the optimal picture of Russian mentality through these key words идея-идеал the correlations between slovo (знак) and d’elo (вещь) will have to be regarded as a necessary and complete method of research, which is based on the concept of “semantic triangle”.
