해방기 김학성의 초등용 100곡집 『노래모음』과 노래의 정전화

국문 초록

이 논문은 부산 음악인 김학성이 1950년 발간한 초등용 100곡집 『노래모음』의 구성과 체재를 통해 노래의 정전화 양상을 살펴보는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 식민지시대부터 해방기까지 발간된 노래책 23권과 해방기 음악교재 25권을 실증적으로 비교·검토하였다. 『노래모음』은 예술성을 지향하기보다는 쉽고 재미있게 다양한 노래를 부를 수 있도록 구성했다는 점에서 음악교양의 확산에 기여했다. 또한 해방기 부산음악사회의 역량을 가시적으로 보여주는 실체이며, 윤이상, 이상근과 같은 지역 작곡가의 알려지지 않은 곡을 수록하고 있다는 점에서 가치가 있다. 수록곡을 식민지시대 창작동요, 해방기 창작동요, 창작가곡, 가요, 외국곡으로 분류하여 살펴본 결과, 동심의 회복, 새로운 국가와 국민만들기, 역사의 되새김과 기념하기, 민족적 정서의 소환, 서구지향이라는 시대적 가치에 따라 노래가 창작되고 향유되었음을 확인하였다. 노래의 정전화는 국가와 사회가 그 시대의 의식과 정서를 구조화시키는 과정에서 이루어졌으며, 정전화된 노래는 새로운 사회적 가치와 의미를 구성했다. 이러한 점에서 근현대 음악문화사에서 정전화의 양상과 논리를 실증적으로 규명할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to examine the composition and format of 100 Songs Collection for Elementary School Students, published in 1950 by Kim Hak-Sung, a Busan musician, and to examine the aspect of canonization of songs through analysis of the songs. To this end, 21 songbooks published from the modern enlightenment period to the liberation period and 18 music textbooks published during the liberation period were empirically compared and reviewed. 100 Song Collection is valuable in that it is a substance that visually shows the capabilities of Busan music society during the liberation period, and that it contains unknown songs by local composers such as Yun Isang and Lee Sang-geun. In addition, it seems to have contributed to the spread of music education in the region in that it was composed so that various songs could be sung in an easy and fun way instead of oriented towards artistry. The songs included were divided into traditional creative nursery rhymes, creative nursery rhymes after liberation, liberation songs and ritual songs, creative songs, foreign songs, and traditional nursery rhymes. As a result, it was confirmed that the songs were created and enjoyed according to the values of each era: restoration of children s hearts, creation of a new nation and people, reflection and commemoration of history, summoning of national emotions, and western orientation. Countries and societies in each era actively used songs to structure consciousness and emotions. In this process, new social values and meanings are constructed through canonized songs. In this respect, the necessity of more active canonical reflection could be suggested.
