임상간호사의 의료기관 인증제에 대한 인식도, 역할과부담, 전문직 자아개념이 환자안전관리활동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 의료기관 인증제를 경험한 임상 간호사들의 의료기관 인증제에 대한 인식도, 역할과부담, 전문직 자아개념을 확인하고 이들 요인이 간호사의 환자안전관리활동에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위함이다. 연구대상은 2011년 의료기관 인증평가를 받은 상급종합병원 간호사들이며 자가보고형 설문지를 이용하여 242명의 자료를 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 독립표본 t-검정, 단변량 분산분석, Pearson 상관계수 및 단계적 다중회귀분석을 적용하였다. 분석결과 간호사들의 환자안전관리활동은 4.22점이었다. 다변량 회귀분석을 통해 나타난 간호사들의 환자안전관리활동에 영향을 주는 요인과 영향력은 ‘전문직 자아개념’(β=.297, p<.001), ‘근무부서’(β=-.164, p=.008), ‘의료기관인증제에 대한 인식도’(β=.141, p=.032) 순이었으며 전체 설명력은 13.2% 이었다(F=13.17, p<.001). 본 연구를 통해 환자안전활동관리를 위해 간호사들에게 의료기간 인증을 위한 가시적이고 물리적인 영역의 교육과 관리 외에도 전문직 자아개념 향상을 위한 프로그램을 개발하고 활용하는 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore nurses’ awareness on healthcare accreditation, work overload, and professional self-concept and to examine how they impact on activities of patient safety management among clinical nurses. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 242 nurses who have experienced healthcare accreditation. The data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test and regression analysis. It was reported that the level of the nurses’ activities of patient safety management was the mean of 4.22 out of the total score 5. Factors influencing nurses’ activities of patient safety management were professional self-concept (β=.297, p<.001), work place (β=-.164, p=.008), and awareness on healthcare accreditation (β=.141, p=.032) which explained 13.2% of the variance (F=13.17, p<.001). The study results indicate that nurses’ professional self-concept should be better understood for interventions to manage nurses’ activities of patient safety management.
