국문 초록

1995년 문민정부의 ‘대학설립 준칙주의와 대학정원 자율화’ 정책에 의해 대학 신설, 학과 신설, 입학정원 확대 등이 이루어졌고 이를 통해 현재 대학진학률은 80%를 넘어 가고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 현실에서 이 정책에 의해 과거 10여년간 발생하였던 대학 구조변화에 대한 이해가 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 과거 15년간 변화되었던, 학과 신설, 입학정원의 확대, 교원의 변화 등의 추세를 파악하는 것이다. 분석결과, 인문계열의 경우 2006년에 재학생수, 교원수, 학과수의 상대적 감소를 확인할 수 있다. 2013년에는 교원수에서 상대적 증가를 가져왔음을 파악할 수 있다. 사회계열은 15년전에 상대적 감소가 있었지만 2006년, 2012년/2013년에 상대적 증가 추세를 확인할 수 있다. 자연계열은 재학생수, 교원수, 학과수에 있어 15년전에는 상대적 증가가 있음을 알 수 있으나 2006년, 2012년/2013년으로 갈수록 잔차값이 음의 값으로 가지면서, 재학생수, 교원수, 학과수에 있어 가장 많이 감소하고 있음을 파악할 수 있다. 예체능계열은 자연계열과 정반대의 결과를 가짐을 알 수 있어 계열의 대비를 확인할 수 있다. 추후 연구로써, 나머지 6개 대계열 각각에 대한 소계열 분석이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

At 1995, the Civilian Government announced the university policy that is “Deregulation on Establishment and Enrollment Quota of Higher Education Institutions”. Many universities was established from the policy, and then departments and entrance quota of universities also was increased. As a result, the enrollment rate of university in Korea is over 80%. Based on the situation, we need to know the structure changes of university that has been achieved 15 years by the policy. The purpose of this research is to investigate and analyze the trend of frequencies of students, professors, and departments. The results of this research are as the followings: First, at humanities category in 2006 there was relatively decreasing trend in frequencies of students, professors, and departments, but in 2013 there was relatively increasing trend in frequencies of professors. Second, at social science category, in 1999 there was relatively decreasing trend in frequencies of students, professors, and departments, but in 2006 and 2012/2013 there was relatively increasing trend. Finally, at natural sciences, in 1999 there was relatively increasing trend in frequencies of students, professors, and departments, but in 2006 and 2012/2013 there was the most decreasing trend. The result of the arts and physical education category was the opposite of that of natural sciences category.
