영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the relationship between fire insurance and its wind & flood damage coverage clauses by using a panel data analysis. The sample statistical data have been constructed based on the amount of insurance claim and the number of claim payment of domestic larger companies for the period of 5 years from 2009 to 2013 and 17 regions. The results show that regional differences for the fire insurance and its clause are identified in the amount and also the number of claim payment. Also, the amount of claim payment caused by natural catastrophe is different following difference of region and time factor. Therefore, this research concludes that fire insurance and its wind & flood clause may consider the region and time factors for underwriting, rating and pricing in the domestic property-liability insurance system.
