남녀 청소년의 체질량지수, 신체이미지 왜곡과 건강행태와의 관련성

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 남녀 청소년의 체질량지수, 신체이미지 왜곡, 건강행태를 비교하고, 체질량지수와 신체이미지 왜곡에 따른 건강행태의 차이를 파악하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 질병관리본부가 실시한 2014년 제10차 청소년 건강행태 온라인조사의 원시자료를 이용한 2차 분석연구로 SPSS 21.0으로 복합표본 분석하였으며, 본 연구의 대상자는 총 72,060명으로 남학생은 36,470명(52.2%), 여학생은 35,590명(47.8%)으로 나타났다. 연구결과, 성별에 따른 체질량지수는 남자청소년이 과체중이 5.7%, 비만이 13.7%로 과체중이 4.5%, 비만이 6.1%인 여자청소년에 비해 살이 찐 학생이 더 많았으며, 저체중도 남자청소년이 5.2%로 여자청소년이 4.6%보다 더 많았다(Rao-Scott =299.286, p<.001). 신체이미지를 왜곡해서 인지하는 학생의 비율은 남자청소년이 14.8%, 여자청소년이 32.4%로 여자청소년이 더 많았다(Rao-Scott =2914.965, p<.001). 남녀 청소년의 공통적으로 체질량지수와 현재흡연, 과일섭취, 라면섭취에서 유의한 관련성이 나타났고, 남자 청소년은 신체이미지 왜곡과 흡연이 부의 방향으로 여자청소년에서는 정의 방향으로 관련성이 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로, 성별에 따른 올바른 신체이미지를 확립하여 건전한 신체와 정신건강을 중재하기 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to compare BMI, body image distortion, and health behaviors between male and female adolescents and to examine impact of health behaviors on BMI and body image distortion in male and female adolescents. The data were derived from the 10th Korea youth risk behavior web-based survey 2014 in Korea and analyzed using the IBM SPSS statistics version 21.0 software package considering complex samples analysis. The subjects were 72,060 Korean adolescents (male adolescent: 36,470, 52.2%, female adolescent: 35,590, 47.8%). There were significant differences between male and female adolescent in BMI (Rao-Scott =299.286, p<.001), body image distortion (Rao-Scott =2914.965, p<.001). As a logistic regression, body mass index was associated with significantly current smoking, fruit intake, and ramen intake among both male and female adolescents and body image distortion was associated with current smoking of female adolescents but male adolescent who are normal body image was associated with current smoking. Therefore this results indicate that the health behavior empowerment program should be developed to improve physical and mental health through a accurate body Image perception.
