국문 초록

조사자료의 대표성을 평가하는 척도들은 최근 여러 학자들에 의해 연구되고 있다. 최근 10여 년간 국내 조사환경은 점점 나빠지고 있으며, 이로 인한 조사응답률은 지속적으로 낮아짐으로 인해 표본자료의 무응답 편향의 위험성 뿐만아니라 표본의 대표성에 대한 비판이 많이 제기되고 있다. 특히 횡단적 조사와는 다르게 종단면 연구를 위한 패널조사의 경우 시간이 경과함에 따라 패널 표본의 소실로 인한 무응답은 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 이유로 다수의 연구자들은 패널표본 규모 및 설계의 적절성에 대해 많은 의문을 제기하고 있지만, 객관적인 지표를 통해 근거를 제시하기 보다는 해외사례 및 국내 몇몇 패널조사의 유지현황을 비교하여 판단하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 관점에서 본 논문에서는 다양한 대표성 평가 척도를 이용하여 패널조사에서 무응답의 증가로 인한 조사자료의 대표성을 평가하고, 향후 종단 연구를 위한 패널자료의 대표성 평가에 활용될 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Recently a measure to evaluate the representativeness of the survey data are being studied by many authors. The last 10 years, the domestic survey environment is getting worse or, survey response rate has been continuously resulting in lowered due to the risk of non-response bias, as well as sample data raised a lot of criticism about the representativeness of it. In particular, nonresponse of the panel survey for longitudinal study unlikely the cross-sectional sample survey is due to the panel attrition and continues to increase with time. For this reason, but the number of researchers raise a lot of questions about the adequacy of the sample size and the panel design, a situation that is determined by comparing the maintenance status of overseas and domestic cases investigated several panels, rather than presenting evidence through objective indicators. In this paper from this point of view, using several of representativeness indicators we evaluate the representativeness of the survey data due to the increase in nonresponse in the panel survey and it proposes a plan that can be used to evaluate representativeness of the panel data for future longitudinal studies.
