불완전 분할표에서 무응답 메카니즘을 고려한 민감도 분석

국문 초록

불완전 분할표에서 무응답을 추정하기 위해서는 무응답 메카니즘이 선택되어야 한다. 무응답 메카니즘이 잘못 선택되는 경우, 추정 시 불안정한 분산이나 편향이 발생하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 기존 연구에서는 무응답 메카니즘을 판별하기 위해 적합도나 우도함수가 이용되었으나, 최근 연구에 따르면, 관측된 자료를 통해서는 무응답 메카니즘을 판별할 수 없는 것으로 알려졌다. 따라서 이러한 불확실성을 반영하기 위해 다양한 무응답 메카니즘에서의 추정 결과를 구간으로 제안하는 민감도 분석이 제안되었다. 민감도 분석은 다양한 무응답 메카니즘을 포괄하는 초과모수 모형에서 민감도 모수를 선택하고, 민감도 모수의 변화에 따른 무응답 추정 결과를 하나의 구간으로 제안하는 방법이다. 기존에 제안된 민감도 분석이 무응답 변수가 두 개인 불완전 분할표를 대상으로 제안된 것임에 반해, 본 논문에서는 기존에 제안된 민감도 분석을 무응답 변수가 한 개인 불완전 분할표에 적합하도록 수정하여 소개하도록 하며, 또한 이를 우리나라의 18대 대선 출구조사 자료에 적용하도록 한다. 분석 결과, 민감도 분석의 구간이 실제 득표율을 포함하고 있을 뿐 아니라, 다양한 무응답 메카니즘의 결과를 포괄하고 있었다.

영문 초록

To estimate nonresponses in an incomplete contingency table, the missing mechanism should be determined. Mis-specifying the missing mechanism leads larger variance or bias of estimates. In the previous research, in order to select the appropriate missing mechanism, goodness-of-fit or the methods based on the likelihood were used. Recently, however, it was shown that the missing mechanism cannot be distinguished by using observed data. To overcome the disability of selection of the missing mechanism, sensitivity analysis has been suggested. To consider the uncertainty of the missing mechanism, sensitivity analysis provides the interval of estimates from over-parameterized models which incorporate various missing mechanisms by varying the value of sensitivity parameters. The proposed method, however, considered only an incomplete contingency table with two supplemental margins. In this paper, sensitivity analysis suitable to an incomplete contingency table with one supplemental margin is devised, and also applied to the exit poll of 18th presidential election in Korea. As a result, the interval from sensitivity analysis includes a final supporting rate as well as estimates from various missing mechanisms.
