고령운전자 차량 좌회전 상황에서의 위험요인 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 젊은 운전자와 고령운전자가 교차로에서 차량 좌회전 시 맞은편 차량과의 관계에서 어떠한 선택 양상을 보이는지 알아보기 위해서 실시되었다. 도구는 플래쉬 프로그램을 활용한 단순 반응속도 측정 모의실험장치와 좌회전 모의실험장치를 사용하였다. 피험자는 25세 이하의 젊은 운전자와 65세 이상의 고령운전자로 각 29명씩, 총 58명이 실험에 참여하였다. 고령운전자와 젊은 운전자는 단순 반응속도 실험에서 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 좌회전 모의실험의 3가지 측정치(좌회전 선택까지의 총소요시간, 좌회전 선택 순간 피험자와 맞은편 차와의 시간간격, 좌회전 선택 순간 맞은편 차량의 속도)에서도 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 연구를 통해서 고령운전자가 좌회전 시 위험도를 증가시키는 이유는 맞은편 차량의 속도판단과 차간거리에 대한 판단착오 때문이며, 더불어 쇠퇴하고 늦어진 운전조작능력과 결합하게 되면 더욱 큰 위험요인을 발생시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This research was to examine the difference between young and old drivers in a situation where they should determine to make left turn while drivers in as situation where they should determine to make left turn while other vehicle was coming from the opposite side. As the tools, the simulation equipment of measuring the simple reaction speed using flash program and the simulation equipment of a left turn are used. Total 58 persons were participated in the experiment as testees - each 29 persons of young drivers under 25 years old and the aged drivers over 65 years old respectively. There was the significant difference between the aged drivers and young drivers in the experiment of the simple reaction speed and they also showed the significant difference on 3 kinds of measurement values (total time required until choosing a left turn, the time interval between a subject and the other vehicle from the opposite side at the moment of choosing a left turn, speed of the other vehicle from the opposite side at the moment of choosing a left turn) on the simulation of a left turn.
