국문 초록

이 연구는 비교과 프로그램인 ‘심화 북리딩 클럽’ 사례를 분석해 보고, 이 프로그램에서 활용한 퍼실리테이션 독서 토의 방법과 독서 후 창의적인 활동을 소개하여 자발적인 독서를 유도하는 데 목적을 두었다. 실제 적용 사례와 프로그램 이후 진행된 설문 분석을 통해 다음과 같은 효과를 도출해 낼 수 있었다. 켈러의 ARCS모형을 활용한 텍스트 선정과 토의 설계는 참가자들의 흥미 유발과 적극적인 참여, 토의의 활성화에 도움이 되었다. 둘째, ‘책’을 매개로 한 관계 맺기 과정은 편안하고 활동적인 분위기 형성에 긍정적으로 기여하였다. 셋째, 퍼실리테이션을 활용한 토의 활동은 다양한 지식체계와 배경을 동원하게 하였고, 사고의 폭을 확장시키는 데 도움이 되었다. 넷째, 열린 형식의 에세이 서평 쓰기와 발표는 읽기, 말하기, 듣기, 쓰기를 연계한 통합적 의사소통 능력을 활성화하고, 창의적인 결과물을 생산·공유하는 과정을 통해 참가자들의 능동적이고 자발적인 참여를 유도하는 데 도움이 되었다. 뿐만 아니라 다른 팀들이 읽은 책에 대한 정보도 얻고, 다양한 접근 방식을 경험하게 하는, 정보 공유와 소통의 장(場)으로 기능했다.

영문 초록

This study aims to induce voluntary reading by analyzing the case of extracurricular program “Deepen Book Reading Club” and introducing facilitation reading discussion method and creative activities after reading. The following effects were derived through the actual application cases and the analysis of the survey after the program. Text selection and discussion design using Keller’s ARCS model helped induce participants’ participation, active participation and discussion. Second, the process of establishing a relationship through “books” contributed positively to creating a relaxed and active atmosphere. Third, discussions using facilitation mobilized various knowledge systems and backgrounds and helped to expand the breadth of thinking. Fourth, writing and presenting an essay book review in an open format can help participants to actively and voluntarily participate through the process of activating integrated communication skills in connection with reading, speaking, listening and writing, and producing and sharing creative results. It also served as a forum for information sharing and communication, gaining information about books read by other teams and experiencing different approaches.
