국문 초록

강소천은 1920년대 어린이 잡지와 여러 신문에 동요를 투고하면서 소년문사로 활동하기 시작하였다. 그리고 동요시집 『호박꽃초롱』에 백석이 쓴 「호박꽃초롱서시」로 인하여 문학계의 큰 주목을 받기도 하였다. 강소천의 『호박꽃초롱』은 일제하 한글사용이 금지된 시기에 발행한 순한글 동요시집이었다. 그는 이후 동화를 창작함으로써 동요와 동시, 동화를 쓴 작가로 아동문학계의 걸출한 작가가 되었다. 그는 한국전쟁기에 월남하여 꾸준히 어린이들을 위한 작품 활동에 전념하였다. 그는 아동문학사적으로 의미 있는 자리에 있었다. 그래서 강소천의 동요 15편을 발굴하는 과정에서 새롭게 밝혀진 사실들을 토대로 선행연구를 보완하면서 강소천 문학 연구에 일조하고자 하는 것을 목적으로 연구사를 수정하였다. 크게 작품명의 확인, 서지사항과 필명사용시기, 간도용정에 머문 시기, 동요목록 중심으로 등을 구체적인 자료를 통해 연구사를 수정 보완하였다. 그리고 강소천 동요목록을 일목요연하게 제시하여 후속 연구에 도움을 주고자 하였다.

영문 초록

In 1920s, Kang so-chun started to work as a writer, contributing children’s songs to several children magazines and newspapers. And he drew attention from the Korean literary circle with ‘Prologue to A Lantern of Pumpkin Flower’ written by Baek Seok in his book of children’s poem ‘A Lantern of Pumpkin Flower’. Kang so-chun’s ‘A Lantern of Pumpkin Flower’ is a book of children’s poem that he wrote in pure Korean during the Japanese colonial rule during which the use of Korean was prohibited. Later he wrote children’s stories, becoming a prominent writer, who produced songs, stories and poems for children, in the Korean children’s literature. Defected to South Korea during Korean Civil War, Kang so-chun had steadily devoted his time and energy to creative works for children. He turned himself into an significant writer in children’s literature. In this respect, the present study found new facts while discovering his 15 children’s songs, supplemented previous studies on his works, and modified history of research to be of a help in a research into Kang so-chun s literature. At large, this study modified and supplemented the research history of his literature by confirming the names of his works, bibliographical details, the point of time when he used his fan name, the duration of his staying in Youngjeong in Kando, and the list of children’s songs. In addition, this study organized the list of his children’s songs in an easily accessible manner, expecting it will be helpful for following studies.
