가락오광대의 지역적 정체성과 가치 지향 - 노름꾼 과장과 할미․영감 과장을 중심으로 -

국문 초록

가락오광대는 부산광역시 강서구 가락동 죽림마을에서 유래․전승되고 있는 전통 민속연희극이다. 가락오광대는 대략 1890년부터 연희되기 시작한 것으로 보인다. 이로 볼 때, 현재의 가락오광대는 120년 넘게 강서구 가락동 죽림마을에서 전승되어 온 부산 지역의 소중한 문화자산이라 할 수 있다. 그럼에도 가락오광대에 대한 지금까지의 논의와 연구는 상당히 미흡한 상황이다. 따라서 본고는 가락오광대의 극적 특징을 노름꾼 과장과 할미․영감 과장을 중심으로 고찰하여 거기에 내재한 지역적정체성과 가치 지향성을 밝혀 가락오광대의 지역문화적 가치를 재조명 하고자 했다. 논의의 결과, 죽림나루가 있던 죽림마을에서 발생하여 전승되어 온 가락오광대는 노름꾼 과장과 할미․영감 과장에서 전승 지역의 정체성을 풍부하게 담아내고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이 지역이 넓은 곡창 지대를 끼고 있다는 점, 국가에 바치는 세곡을 저장했던 세곡창이 있던 곳과 인접한 지역이라는 점, 지역 사람들이 세곡 운반에 동원되었을 가능성이 높다는 점 등을 통해 이곳 사람들이 경제적으로 풍요로운 삶을 살았을 것이며 이러한 인문지리적 환경이 노름꾼 과장의 형성과 연관될 수 있음을 제시하였다. 할미․영감 과장의 경우, 할미가 아닌 영감이 죽는 것은 이곳의 당산신과 허황후의 존재와 연관되며, 아들들이 죽게 되는 것은 조만강과 오봉산이라는 인근 지역과 밀접하게 연관되어 있어 이 과장 역시 지역적 정체성을 적극적으로 반영하고 있음을 밝혔다. 그리고 이러한 지역적 정체성은 사회성과 근대성이라는 가치 지향과 연관되어 있음을 밝혔다. 노름꾼 과장에서 노름을 하는 행위자가 비장애 인으로 설정되었다는 점, 노름에 관대하고 절도에 엄중하다는 점 등은 개인보다는 행위를 중시하면서 반사회적 행위를 강력하게 처벌하는 것을 통해 사회성을 강조하는 것으로 해석하였다. 할미․영감 과장에서는 영감이 죽는다는 것, 아들들의 죽음에 대한 할미의 책임이 약화되었다는 점은 가부장적 질서 체계에서 여성에 대한 남성의 횡포와 억압에 대한 비판 의식이 반영된 근대성을 지향한 것이라 할 수 있다. 이처럼 가락오광대는 지역적 정체성을 충실히 발현하면서도 사회성과 근대성이라는 가치를 지향하고 있는 부산의 오광대로서 지역 문화적 가치가 높은 전통 가면극이라 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

GarakOgwangdae is a traditional masquerade, which is derived from the Bamboo Village of Garak-dong in Gangseo-gu, Busan. GarakOgwangdae seems to have begun to be played in about 1890. In this regard, the present GarakOgwangdae is a precious cultural asset of Busan, which has been handed down in Gyeongseo-gu, Bamboo village for more than 120 years. Nevertheless, the discussions and researches on GarakOgwangdae have been quite unsatisfactory. Therefore, this study examines the dramatic characteristics of GarakOgwangdae in the area of gamblers and halmi․yeong-gam area, and reexamines the local cultural value of GarakOgwangdae by revealing the regional identity and value orientation of the dramatic characteristics of. As a result of the discussions, it was found that GarakOgwangdae, which has been handed down from the Bamboo Village where Bamboo Ridge was located, enriches the identity of the traditional area in the gamblers area and the halmi․yeong-gam area. The fact that the area has a large granary zone, the area adjacent to the Segok warehouse where the three sacred goggles were stored for the country, and the possibility that the people were mobilized in the Segok transportation, It was suggested that their human geographical environment could be the background where the gamblers area could be formed as an independent exaggeration. The area of halmi․yeong-gam is related to the existence of Tangshan and HeoHwangwu after the death of yeong-gam rather than halmi, and the death of the sons is also closely related to the neighboring areas of Chomankang and Ohbongsan. And that this regional identity is related to the value orientation of sociality and modernity. The fact that the actors who play gambling in the domain of gamblers are set as non-disabled, the generosity to gambling, and the rigidity of the theft are interpreted as emphasizing sociality by strongly punishing anti - social acts while emphasizing actions rather than individuals. The fact that the inspiration dies in the halmi․yeong-gam areas and that halmi s responsibility for the death of the sons is weakened is that the patriarchal order system is aimed at the modernity that reflects men s despotism about women s oppression and oppression have. In this way, GarakOgwangdae is the traditional Ogwangdae in Busan area, which is well known for its local identity but also aims for the value of sociality and modernity.
