국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 호텔 직원의 감정지능이 업무성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고, 감정지능이 업무성과에 미치는 영향에서 AB성격유형의 조절효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 특1급 호텔 직원을 대상으로 2015년 7월 13일부터 8월 1일까지 약 3주동안 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문 지는 총 400부를 배포하여 354부를 실증분석에 사용하였고, 연구가설은 다중회 귀분석 및 조절회귀분석을 실시하여 검증하였다. 이에 대한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 먼저, 가설1을 검증한 결과, 감정지능의 하위요인인 감정의 활용, 자기감정이 해, 자기감정조절, 타인감정인식 요인이 업무성과에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 다음으로 가설2를 검증한 결과, AB성격유형은 감정지능이 업무성과에 미치는 영향을 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해서 호텔 직원의 감정지능 재고 방안과 경영성과를 향상 시킬 수 있는 효율적인 인적자원관리 전략을 모색할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study was to present a comprehensive view on relationships among emotional intelligence, job performance within a hotel industry and how the A/B character type can bring the moderating effect. This study researched hotel employee in Seoul. A survey was conducted from July 13th to August 1st, 2015. A total 400 sheets of questionnaire were distributed and 354 sheets were collected for empirical data analysis. Hypotheses were examined by using multiple regression analysis and moderated regression analysis of SPSS 22.0. These results are based on research, and the outcomes are as follows: First, the result of the analysis supported that emotional intelligence positively predicted job performance. Second, this research verified the moderation effect of A/B character type moderated between emotional intelligence and job performance. The findings of the study will seek efficient human resource management strategy to improve emotional intelligence of employees and enhance management performance in the hotel industry.
