『한양』 게재 시편의 변화 과정 연구

국문 초록

재일한인 지식인 잡지『한양』은 20년이 넘는 오랜 기간 동안 재일한인 지식인들의 한국에 대한 정치․사회․문화적 담론을 결집시키고 주도한 종합지였다. 그러나 방대한 텍스트의 분량, 70년대 중반 이후 한국에 반입이 금지된 사정, 작가의 전기적 정보의 누락 등으로 지금껏 그 실체를 올바로 확인하기가 어려웠다. 본고는『한양』에 가장 많은 시를 기고한 경련과 정영훈의 작품 세계와 그 변화 과정을 살펴봄으로써 아직까지 정리되지 않은『한양』의 편집방향과 그와 관련되는 문학작품의 실체에 좀 더 가까이 접근하고자 하였다. 우선, 1960년대『한양』의 문학적 경향은 70년대와는 달리, 명확하게 제시되고 있지 못했다. 경련과 정영훈의 초기 작품들이 디아스포라 의식에 기반을 둔 소박한 감상적 세계관이 주류를 이루었던 것은 이와 관련된다. 그럼에도『한양』은 전통의 회복을 통해 민족을 발견하고, 이를 바탕으로 한국의 발전을 이룩할 수 있을 것이라는 담론을 지속적으로 생산하면서 잡지의 성격을 점차 굳혀갔다. 경련과 정영훈의 작품 또한 전통 이미지의 호출을 통해 민족 동일성을 회복하려는 시적 상상력을 제시했다. 또한『한양』은 4․19혁명의 의의를 ‘혁명적 로맨티시즘’으로 전유하면서, 이를 사회 발전의 구심점으로 삼고자 했다. 60년대 4․19혁명을 소재로 한 경련과 정영훈의 시편들에서 ‘혁명적 로맨티시즘’의 양상을 확인할 수 있다. 그런데 70년대 중반 이후,ㄴ『한양』은 유신체제의 수립에 따른 한국정부에 대한 실망, 남북회담의 실패, 문인간첩단 사건 등으로 한국정부 및 미국을 비판하거나 독재에 항거한 인물들을 옹호하는 등 군부독재에 대한 항쟁 의지를 북돋는 방향을 노골적으로 보여주게 된다. 경련과 정영훈 역시 그 전에는 볼 수 없었던 한국정부에 대한 비판과 적대의식으로 가득 찬 구호적이고 경직된 시편들을 제출함으로써 시세계의 변화를 보여준다.

영문 초록

『Hanyang』was a comprehensive magazine concentrating and leading political, social, cultural discussion by Koreans in Japan for over 20 years. However, it has been difficult to identify its actuality so far due to a great deal of text materials, prohibition of carrying into Korea after mid-70’, and omission of the author’s biographical information. This papers aims to study『Hanyang』’s editorial direction, which hasn't been organized yet, and other related literatures through examining Kyoung ryun and Jeong Young-hun’s literary world who contributed poems the most to『Hanyang』. In 1960’s,『Hanyang』did not present its political, social and cultural directivity clearly, which is related in that Kyoung Ryun and Jeong Young-hun’s initial work had sentimental view of the world based on diasporan perception. But『Hanyang』had consolidated its identity by consistently producing discussion that recovery of tradition can identify nationality, which can be a base for achieving Korea’s development. Kyoung Ryun and Jeong Young-hun’s work also presented poetic imagination aiming to recover ethnic identity through interpellation of traditional image. In addition,『Hanyang』produced and possessed 4․19 Revolution’s significance as ‘revolutionary romanticism’ and make it as a central pillar for social development. The aspect of revolutionary romanticism can be found in poems of Kyoung Ryun and Jeong Young-hun about 4․19 Revolution in 1960’s. After mid-70’s, however, Hanyang turned their directivity from pro-government into against-government encouraging resistance against military dictatorship by criticizing Korea and U.S. government as well as advocating those who resist against dictatorship. Kyoung Ryun and Jeong Young-hun also showed their transformation in literary world by presenting slogan-like and stiffen poems filled with criticism and hostility against Korean government.
