고려후기 희작적 성향의 한시와 그 의미

국문 초록

고려 후기는 性理學이라는 사상적 유입으로 인해 前期의 문학과는 다른 새 지평을 연 시기다. 하지만 새로운 사상으로 무장한 그들의 문학에는 이와 대조적인 작품군을 쉽게 발견할 수 있다. 이를테면 장르면에서 演雅體 한시를 비롯하여 琴操가 지어진 것이라든지, 내용면에서도 술이나 대나무 등 사물의 의인화 기법이 사용되기 시작하여 고려후기 문학을 살찌우게 하는가 하면, 해학과 기지를 통해 삶의 여유를 표출하고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 장르와 내용 모두 새로운 시도를 한 것들인데, 이러한 작품들은 모두 희작적 성향이 짙다는 공통분모를 가지고 있다. 대표적인 문인으로는 이규보, 이곡, 이색, 이집 등을 들 수 있다. 그들은 한국한문학을 살찌우기 위해 다각적인 노력을 기울이며 그 일환으로 희작적 성향의 작품을 지었던 것이다. 이는 고려 후기의 문학이 형식면에 있어서 송나라의 황정견의 시체를 모방한 점, 내용면에 있어서는 사회비판과 더불어 주체적인 내면의식을 표출시켰다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있을 것이다. 또한 고려 후기의 의인화 한시에는 전대 傳에서 보였던 사회비판보다는 사대부로서의 고결한 정신 지향에 초점이 맞춰져 있는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이는 의인화라는 장르를 빌려 사회를 비판하고 풍자했던 형식을 답습하기보다는 신진사대부로서의 군자상을 제시하는가 하면, 보다 현실적인 방안을 모색하고 현실에 참여하고픈 사대부 문학 양식의 하나로 이해하면 될 것이다. 한편 희작적 한시에 있어서의 대표적인 수사 기법은 해학과 기지를 들 수 있다. 이는 이규보로부터 시작하여 이곡과 이색, 그리고 이집에 이르기까지 고려 후기 문인들에게 다양하게 나타나고 있는데, 이는 어려운 환경에서도 삶의 여유를 잃지 않고 살아가려는 정신을 형상화 한 것이며 원만하게 살고자 하는 처세관과도 맞닿아 있다.

영문 초록

In the latter part of Goryeo, a new type of literature and a new paradigm appeared, because of the introduction of the new idea: neo-confusianism. However, there was contrasting type of literature which is differ from the literature that is influenced by the new idea. For example, in a genre, chinese poems that were written in Yeon A Chae(one of the writing type) and songs played with Qin(chinese music instrument) flourished, in a story, things such as a liquor and a bamboo were started to be personified and fertilized the literature, and a leisurely life of the era was expressed from it's humors and wits. These are the new attempts of both a genre and a story which have common characteristics of comedic literature. The people such as Lee Gyu Bo, Lee Gok, Lee Sak, Lee Jib were the major literary person of the era. they put huge efforts on prospering Korean Literature written in Chinese and the comedic literal pieces were the results of their efforts. We can find their significance in the form of the literatures of the latter part of Goryeo which is a imitated version of the poetic form of Hwang Jeong Gyun of Song Dynasty in China. Moreover, in the era, a characteristic of a personified poem written in Chinese was focused on honorable spiritual orientation rather than social criticism. It means that they used a personification and expressed a proper behavior of Sin Jin Sa Dae Bu(rising nobleman) rather than satiring and criticizing the society, and to find the realistic way to join the real life. However, the main rhetorical device of comedic poem in Chinese is wits and humors. This was started by Lee Gyu Bo and followed by Lee Gok, Lee Sak, Lee Jib, and other literary people. This characteristics appeared diversely due to their will: not to lose relaxation and to live easily despite of their harsh circumstance.
