영문 초록

This study focuses on job-demands, job-resources, burnout, job engagement, and their relationships. Specifically, the present study investigated the relationship (1) between job-demands and burnout, (2) job-resources and burnout, (3) job-resources- engagement, and (4) burnout-engagement. The data were collected from F&B employees of a luxury hotel operated in Seoul, Korea, using a convenience sampling technique. Structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses in a sample of F&B employees(N=261). The results confirmed the existence of the positive relationships between job-resources and burnout and job-resources and engagement, as expected. As hypothesized, our research found that burnout had negative relationships with job-resources and engagement. The practical implications for the ways that hotel managers tackle the issue of job demands, job resources, burnout, and engagement were discussed.
