영문 초록

This study attempted to identify how college students' image of a youth hostel is related to their satisfaction of and behavioral intention to a use of the youth hostel. To accomplish the objectives, data were collected by college students who attend at universities located in the areas of Seoul, Kyungki and Kangwon Province from October 15 to December 5, 2010. To analyze the data, such statistics tests as descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, reliability test, and multiple liner regression were used. Results showed that the image of a youth hostel is regressed on satisfaction of and behavioral intention to a use of the youth hostel. The image of cheap and affordable youth hostels was partially not influenced on the satisfaction and behavioral intention, while the image of variety and satisfaction in a youth hostel positively significantly influenced on the two factors. The results also revealed that satisfaction are regressed on behavioral intention to use a youth hostel. Findings suggest not only a need of reforming the image of youth hostels as a cheap and affordable youth hostel that leads customers to expect a lower quality service, but also a need of activating the image of variety and satisfaction in a youth hostel. to increase a motivation to revisit or recommend youth hostels to friends and families.
