영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to identify the significant differences of restaurant selection attributes and behavioral intention by lifestyle of family restaurant guests. The sample of this study were selected from the customers visiting family restaurants in Daejeon City, South Korea. Two hundred twenty-five questionnaires from a convenient sample of 250 family restaurant customers were utilized to study the relationships between research variables. Four factors were identified for lifestyle as social-oriented, activity-oriented, self-centered, cultured. A cluster analysis based on the identified four underlying dimensions of lifestyle resulted in three clusters of lifestyle (cultured, activity-oriented, socially active). And five factors were identified for restaurant selection attributes as personal services, operation and image, quality of food, facility, atmosphere and accessbility. Socially active group among three clusters of lifestyle showed higher perception of restaurant selection attributes as well as behavioral intention. And the marketing implications for restaurant businesses were discussed as well as limitations were explained.
