국문 초록

루마니아의 구비서사시는 역사적 서사시의 경우 전통적 서사시의 경향을, 그리고 비(非)역사적 서사시의 경우는 문학적 서사시의 특징을 추구하는 경향을 보이고 있다. 또한 유형적 측면에 있어서 루마니아 구비서사시는 영웅과 의적을 위한 서사의 노래, 이야기 시, 발라드, 전설이나 일화와 같은 서사적 이야기 등을 내포한 다양한 모습을 보여주고 있다. 역사적․非역사적 사건과 그에 관련된 영웅을 노래한다는 점에서의 ‘보편성’과 영웅 서사요, 의적 서사요, 이야기 시, 발라드(譚歌) 그리고 서사체 이야기에 나타나는 ‘특수성’을 지닌 루마니아의 구비서사시는 신비적․신화적 서사시 또는 그러한 내용을 담은 구술적 서사시체로부터 발원되어 일반적으로 영웅 서사요, 의적 서사요 그리고 민중 봉기를 담은 노래로 발전하였다. 크게 운문체과 산문체의 형태로 나뉘어지는 루마니아 구비서사시의 두 범주는 테마적 관점에서뿐만 아니라 표현 방법의 범주에서도 명확히 선을 긋기가 쉽지않다. 일반적으로 루마니아 구비서사시는 광의의 의미에서 볼 때 운문 서사시체(Epice în versuri)와 산문 서사시체(Epice în proză)로 분류되며, 협의의 의미에서는 환상적․신화적 서사시, 영웅 서사시, 역사적 의적(義賊) 서사요, 산문체의 발라드 등을 하위갈래로 가지는 서사요(cântecul epic)로 이 해된다. 루마니아의 구비 서사요는 신화와 역사의 경계에 머물며 ‘금기에 대한 침해와 반사적 지탱의 주제적 유형과 같은 강제적 기능을 가진 신비적노래’와 ‘괴물과의 싸움에서 나타나는 것처럼 영웅의 태도에 관계된 신비한내용’의 두 가지 특징을 가진다.

영문 초록

This work centers on how epic songs of initiation in Romanian epic are constructed and how these epic songs figure in the larger Romanian narrative tradition. Romanian oral epics show the tendency of traditional epic in the case of the concept of historical epic and in other case, that is in the case of non-historical epic it shows the tendency of literary epic. Also, in the aspect of style, Romanian oral epics show us very diverse figures which include some kinds as epic songs for hero or chivalrous robber, narrative poetry, ballads, epic tales like legends or anecdotes etc. Traditionally, Romanian oral epics maintained two main characteristic s：‘universal validity’ which praise highly heroes related with historical events or non-historical events and ‘particularities’ which appeared in the heroic epic songs, chivalrous robber's epic songs, narrative poetry, ballad, epic tales. Under these characteristics, Romanian epic songs originated in the narrative epic which contains contexts as in the fantastic (mysterious) epics or mythic epics and these developed into various genre like the epic songs for hero, chivalrous robber or public revolt etc. Two categories of the Romanian oral epics which include the literary style in verse and in prose are very difficult to define what is the difference between them from a thematic point of view or a expressive point of view. In spite of this analytic difficulty, it is possible to divide Romanian oral epics, in the larger sense, into the Epic in verse and the Epic in prose, and in the narrow sense Romanian epic is generally represented by epic songs as the heroic epic song, historical chivalrous robber's epic song, fantastic or mythic epic and narrative ballad. Romanian epic songs have two distinguishing marks which were located on the boundary between myth and history：the ‘mysterious content’ which concerned the hero's attitude as it comes into view to the struggle with the monster and the ‘fantastic song’ which has the compulsory function as infringing on taboo or typical theme.
