영역별 영재와 일반아동의 사고양식과 학습양식과의 관계

국문 초록

  영재교육진흥법 시행에 따라 영재 교육 체제의 정립을 위한 노력이 계속되고 있음에도 불구하고 영역별 영재의 특성에 맞는 교육이 이루어지고 있지 않다는 한계점이 제기되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 영역별 영재의 특성 차이를 밝혀 영역별 영재의 학습과 교수방법에 시사점을 주기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 분산분석을 이용하여 언어영재와 수학ㆍ과학ㆍ정보영재, 일반학생 간의 사고유형과 학습양식에 따른 차이가 있는가를 알아보았다. 그리고 정준상관분석을 사용하여 사고양식과 학습양식 간에는 어떤 관계가 있는가를 알아보았다. 연구 대상은 부산시 지역교육청 소속 영재교육원에서 영재교육을 받고 있는 언어영재 71명, 수학, 과학, 정보 영재 96명, 그리고 무선표집 한 일반학생 98명을 대상으로 하였으며, Sternberg(1997)의 사고양식 검사지와 Grasha와 Reichmann(1975)의 학습양식 검사지를 사용하여 그 특성을 알아보았다. 본 연구에서 나타난 결과들을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 언어영재와 수학ㆍ과학ㆍ정보영재를 포함하는 영재 집단 학생들은 입법적, 사법적, 군주제, 무정부, 지엽적, 내부지향적 사고양식에서 일반학생과 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 그리고 언어영재와 수학ㆍ과학ㆍ정보영재 간에는 행정적, 사법적, 군주제, 전체적, 자유주의적 사고양식에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 언어영재와 수학ㆍ과학ㆍ정보 영재집단과 일반학생 집단 간에는 독립형, 협동형, 경쟁형, 참여형, 회피형 학습양식에서의 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 그 중 일반학생들은 영재학생 집단에 비해 의존형과 회피형 학습양식을 더욱 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 언어영재와 수학ㆍ과학ㆍ정보영재, 그리고 일반아동 각 집단에서 사고양식과 학습양식간의 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다.

  This study investigated the relationships in thinking style and learning style among verbal gifted, mathematically？scientific？informational gifted and average students.
  (1) Are there any differences in types of thinking styles among verbal gifted, mathematically？scientific？informational gifted and average students ?
  (2) Are there any differences in types of learning styles among verbal gifted, mathematically？scientific？informational gifted and average students ?
  (3) Are there any relationships between thinking styles and learning styles?
  The result of this study were as follows:
  First, there were differences in thinking style: The gifted students prefer legislative, judicial, local, monarchic, anarchic, internal thinking styles. Average students prefer oligarchic, hierarchic thinking styles. Especially the verbal gifted students prefer executive, judical, monarchic thinking styles.
  Second, there were differences in types of learning styles. The gifted students have independent, collaborative, competitive, and participant learning style. Average students have dependent and avoidance learning styles. The verbal gifted students have the lowest avoidance learning style.
  Third, some kind of thinking style types were significantly correlated with the learning style types. Another results showed that some kinds of thinking style types could be significant predictors of learning styles.
